Elle,
I forgot about Mo's coach.
I must be having one of your "senior moments".
Alberto Salazar is still head of the Nike Project at Eugene, Oregon.
I am not sure if he is being actively investigated or not.
One of his group said if anyone in that group was being helped by artificial means it was Galen Rupp.
His progress appears astonishing, like several cyclists I can think of.
Apparently Salazar ran for a long time while taking Prozac.
No one appears to know if that helped him or not?
My own opinion is that Mo is clean; I hope so, anyway.

Hi, Rusty!
Er............whose senior moment are we talking about here?
I remember the allegations against Galen Rupp - but, presumably, unless Alberto Salazar is found guilty, then the jury will have to remain out on Rupp? I'd imagine that if one "fell", then so would the other?
Yes, I think that Mo is clean - he certainly seems honest - let's hope so, anyway.
It would really be a case of a "fallen idol" otherwise, wouldn't it?
I enjoyed "The Voice", despite my previous misgivings about changing two of the judges.
I'm not sure about Paloma Faith though....I haven't heard her sing or come across her as an individual before. She seems a bit irritating?
I am recording "Casualty" - I can watch it some other time.
Too much TV at one sitting , otherwise.
I'd forgotten about "Trigger" - yes, I will look that up, too.

Hello, Elle!
Sport is in a mess.
Corruption abounds.
The governing bodies are not clean either.
I was reading about an American athlete called Ben True.
Great name! He will not even take an energy bar.
He sees it as an artificial aid.
I keep saying this, but why are all these top athletes on asthma medication and sleeping in oxygen tents.
That cannot be right! They are artificial aids.
Where shall the line be drawn?
Paloma Faith is unknown to me.
I cannot sit and watch TV either,
I have had a choc ice for supper and very nice too!

Hi, Rusty!
I haven't heard of Ben True? What is his discipline?
I don't know where all this potential drug -taking is heading? Brendan Foster, though, was saying this afternoon that he has faith in Seb Coe's fight to get on top of the situation.
I too think that Seb is sincere; whether he is a strong enough character to deal with it is perhaps another matter......but I don't think that there can be any doubt about his dedication "to the cause", do you?
I am going shopping tomorrow morning - as soon as the shops open - and, of course, after taking the dog out - with my younger daughter to buy birthday presents for two of my grandchildren, so an early start tomorrow despite its being Sunday !
I'm not sure how "healthy" a choc ice is for supper, but, hey, so long as you enjoyed it.........

Hello, Elle,
Ben True is a distance runner but as he does not cheat in any way, he is at a disadvantage to many of his fellow competitors.
I have not the slightest degree of faith in Coe.
Elle, I have lived the "healthy" lifestyle and now I do not.
Too much tosh about 5 a day, alcohol limits, sugar, fatty foods, cholesterol, etc.
I did stop smoking though, and I am very glad I did, but I eat what I like, when I like, and ignore the experts.

Good morning, Rusty!
A dry , slightly cooler (much fresher) day.
I took out the dog very early, so that I have time to clean her up (very muddy), change out of my dog-walking gear into something "respectable", and go into Bromley to meet my daughter and grandson by 11am.
I hate shopping at weekends (too busy) but this is the only time we can go together, as my daughter is at work during the week .
With luck (!) I shall be back home by tea-time.
Do you have anything nice planned for the day? (possibly weather permitting?)

Good morning, Elle!
We had torrential rain during the night.
Woke me up.
How is doggie and her gland getting on?
I shall watch the skiing.
Vonn is hot favourite to win the Super G but I have taken a small interest in Viktoria Rebensburg. Hope they all come down safely!
Looking forrit to it. (Forrit, I am sure you know, is Scots for forward!)
It will be nice to meet your daughter (apart from the shopping bit).
Stay well away from the hooligans!

Hello, Elle!
Lindsey Vonn won again!
She is incredible!
Lara Gut was second, and Viktoria was 11th.
These ladies are brave!
Now, I will see if I can find a football match to watch.
A bit mundane after the Alpine skiing!

Hi, Rusty!
I wasn't far off when I said it would be about teatime when I got home, was I?
We had a very successful trip! I managed to get birthday presents for both the grandchildren.
I bought two winter coats (half price each ) in a bigger size for our grandson for next winter (one for school).
He was very patient trying them on!
And an assortment of mix and match garments for our granddaughter - she will love them.
We had a very nice lunch in Bromley shopping arcade - nary a gangster in sight!
And then coffee later at Costa before setting off for home.
I'm glad you enjoyed your skiing - Lindsey Vonn did very well to win again.
Did you have a bet on Viktoria?
Did you manage to find a football match to watch afterwards?
Thank you for asking after the dog......she appears to be okay - no "worrying" her backside as yet, but I have to take her back to the vet for a check up in about a week.
Now to look at the Everyman.......have you already done your crossword today?

Hello, Elle!
Well done, you!
Sounds like a Sunday well spent!
And no hooligans, to boot (if you know what I mean?)
Lindsey was super. Lara Gut is still ahead of her in the combined points competition, but a long way to go yet.
They are calling it "The Battle of the Blondes"!
I had a bet on Viktoria. She raced well, too.
I also discovered another American skier called, wait for it... Breezy Johnson! She finished well down though.
I found a Scottish game to watch but the quality was awful and I went for a walk instead.
I do not get a Sunday paper, Elle, so no crossword for me today.
