It sounds as though it will be a lovely grand occasion which I am sure you will all enjoy!
And the Hall sounds impressive! Is the town far from where you live?
But you really should go to the restaurant with your family, even if the food is not particularly to your taste (I am sure that there will something to eat that you will like - I am sorry that I joked about it!)
The girls - and especially Miss Orlando - will be so disappointed if you do not stay to eat with them on such a special occasion.
What is "Runrig"?

I am attending her graduation.
That is important to us, not eating.
Runrig were/are a Gaelic rock band, though some songs were in English. Their version of Loch Lomond is super.
One of the band, Pete Wishart, is now an MP at Westminister.

As I have been studying (fairly) ancient Scottish history lately(because I have 3 gt gt gt grandfathers who left Berwickshire in the mid eighteenth century) , runrig was originally like English ridge and furrow- an allocation of both good and poor land to all, in strips or rigs.

Unfortunately, almost no land in Scotland was truly common land......

Now, I wonder if you can help me? I am going mad here trying to stop adverts from jumping about all over this site on my Hudl! It has been like this since yesterday and no matter what I do I cannot get rid of them!
I installed Adblock Plus on my Hudl when I bought the tablet, and it has been working well for ages! According to the blurb, it is still enabled......only now the block is not working!
I've tried switching the enable button off and then back on again but to no avail.
It's a major problem for me because the flashing ads give me migraine.
Do you have any ideas, please?

I wonder if the Rock Group took its name from that then? although I can see no connection between a rock band and a system of land tenure?

I see no connection between land tenure and bands either, but I expect someone liked the sound of the word.

Runrig explained the name and what it meant on one of their videos. Most of the band are from Skye and runrig was used there.
Elle, you may have to "configure" your settings for Adblock.
In effect adjust the wi-fi settings.
Or, do what I did and use a different system.
I installed Firefox. Firefox has "add-ons" you can use.
The one I chose is "Ublock" rather than Adblock (which is a Firefox add-on, too).
It is easy to install. Just select it in the add-ons list and that is that. No configurations required.
If you install Firefox.
Go to Settings > Tools>Add-ons>Ublock and select it.
Done!

Another thought, Elle.
Try a "soft" reset of the Hudl.
Hold down the on/off button until the screen goes blank.
Takes about 15 seconds or so.
Then turn on again. May help.
Or uninstalling Adblock and reinstalling it.
But the Firefox system using uBlock works very well.

Elle, the Firefox settings can be found in the top right corner of the screen. A line of three vertical dots.
Click on the dots and you are in Firefox settings.

AbBlockPlus stopped working on my laptop a few weeks ago, so I attempted to reinstall it, but installed a different program - AdBlock - by mistake. I left it as things seemed to be working OK. More recently working online slowed to a crawl, so as one of the things I tried to speed it up again, I uninstalled the AdBlock, AdBlockPlus is once again working fine.
