Snow has gone here, though I can see some in the hills to the North.

Christian Nade, whose sister was caught up in the events in Paris.
I think the Accies said there are 20 teams in Ligue 1, and a shirt is being sent to each one.

Can't imagine going out early- steeling myself to go for a walk soon. I have agreed to wear a BioBank activity wrist band for a week, so there will be a few extra walks on the cards! Yes yes, I know it's meant to be recording my normal activity but I need encouragement to keep walking (and really, really don't want a dog).
Anyway, my boiler shut down last evening because I bled the radiators and couldn't budge the pressure tap to allow more water in. Son No 2 to the rescue. It's almost worth having them!!! I didn't ask him at once and the house seemed to get very cold.
Odd to think most of us probably grew up without central heating, and I went to school on a bus, a ferry and a tram each way. Sometimes I couldn't see the number on the bus for smog and sometimes the snow came over my wellies. Just sometimes the Mersey ferry boats cast off and got swept a long way down river before battling their way back.

I go out at the same time in Winter as I do in Summer! I leave home about 7.45am!
I arrive back home between 9.15 and 9.45 usually , especially if I have a lot to fit into my day.

Do you not know anyone who does have a dog? maybe you and he/ she could meet up and walk the dog together? it would give a purpose to your walk as well as company?
And no responsibility as regards the dog as he/ she will go hone with the owner!!
(A bit like handing someone else's baby back!)
Yes, I grew up without central heating, too - and walked a mile or so to school; in wellies if it snowed!

I like porridge; I thought most folk did?
I have it at least once a day. Two minutes in the microwave, add milk, and it is ready.
I have a son who puts sliced bananas and raisins in porridge.
He tells me it is very healthy!
I drove to ASDA, as I had quite a lot to carry, and the rain is heavyish!
Driving there takes longer than walking.

I hope your rain has stopped? - I hate to tell you that we have glorious sunshine here! not that there is much warmth to it, the temperature is only about 4C, but certainly a little warmer than first thing this morning.
We are going to make the most of it and go out for a walk........
Have you had chance to search Amazon for (bargain) books?

The one on Joe Hill., And, "According to G", I think it is called, by Geraint Thomas, the cyclist. Calum's Road, (for the second time), by I forget who. And one or two more.
I am looking online for a DAB wireless just now. May splash out and get one. Do you have an opinion on DAB wirelesses, Elle?

We had a very pleasant walk! The dog is full of her usual energy - quite back to normal now, thank you. But we shall have to keep an eye on the suspect gland every month or two.
Now, you told me about Calum MacLeod building the road....but I thought you already had the book? You say "for the second time" - did you lose your copy or give it away?
I am afraid that I know very little about DAB radios! Other than the initials stand for Digital Audio Broadcasting, and you can get many more stations - about 30 to 50, is it? - on such radios than you can on analogue ones.
There is less interference as the receiver locks onto the strongest signal and ignores all the others - so no cracking and hissing background noises.
That is the extent of my knowledge - not a lot of help! I'm sure Google was much more informative!
Will you be able to buy a DAB radio in the Black Friday Sales, I wonder? Is this what you have in mind?

I lent Calum's book and did not get it back, so will get another.
I was tending to think of TESCO for buying the wireless.
Any problems and they are great at customer service, being my way of thinking.
I get a heap of wireless stations from Sky, but no local ones.
That is what is making me think of buying a wireless set.
Might have a look during the week, so I might.
