Hello Elle,

No, we personally never put rice in our stuff marrows - don't know if other French people do though;
And yes, we do the same with large peppers, and some very large tomatoes (special breed grown for stuffing, mixing the flesh with the mince etc) all very tasty. Could almost make me feel humgry, even though I never eat at lunchtime !

Hi, Rusty!
You sound a bit like Kevin on Eggheads! He hates answering the Food and Drink section because he never does any cooking! but I will temper that comment as I know you do use your slow cooker a lot! and produce some tasty meals from what you've said!
You eat a lot of fish....... I especially like mackerel but prefer it smoked. I like my bacon and ham smoked too.
'Scrumpled' is a lovely word, isn't it? meaning crushed or crumpled, but I'm afraid I cannot lay claim to it, as it is in Chambers!
We are shortly going out for a while over to the woods and the river with the dog....(no umbrella needed today!)

Hello, Elle!
I like Kevin! What's his job?
Daphne was my favourite!

Simplicity is my thing.
Yes, my slow cooker has been a great buy.
I like "scrumpled". Actually, my Chromebook has put a red line under it when I was typing.
Must be a new word to Google too!
Edge is the new Internet Explorer.
Mackerel, trout, and haddock, are the fishes I like.
Whatna river does your walk take you too?
In defence of Mills and Boon readers, I think we all read different topics etc.
I would not be attracted to M and B, but the majority of folk would run a mile from my books.
There are books for all tastes...thankfully!

Hi, Rusty!
We had an enjoyable walk. Sunny and warm but fresher than of late - must be the after effect of all that heavy rain! (should aftereffect be one word or two?)
I think Kevin used to be a civil servant before taking part in quiz shows? I'm not certain about that though?
I like the fact that, despite being so knowledgeable he is so quiet and unassuming.
I know that both Kevin and Daphne used to be on Fifteen to One; I don't know about any of the others?
My ( late) Scottish cousin was on that show... he didn't tell anyone that he was going to take part! I was just walking out of the room when I heard his voice coming from the TV! I turned around and there he was on screen.......a contestant on 15 to 1!
What is this about Edge? I haven't heard of it? Are you saying that it is going to replace Internet Explorer? I haven't heard that IE is going to cease to function? I like IE.
You ask about the river near where we walk.......it's called the Ravensbourne and is a tributary of the Thames.
The water is nice and clean there and it is okay for the dogs to swim in it. Our dog loves swimming there!

Hello, Elle!
A grand walk, indeed! No curly hair today, for you!
Ravensbourne. Up here it would be Ravens Burn.
Is there a link with the Tower of London? Ravens?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Microsoft_Edge
All you need to know about Edge.
I am amazed you have not heard of it.
Is it you or me who is the hick from the sticks!

Yes, I like Kevin's demeanour, and he is well mannered, too. Is CJ still on the show?
He is a man I cannot be doing with. An arch bore!
I have never watched 15 to 1,
That was a daytime programme and I never felt it right to be watching television during the day, except live sport. Old-fashioned in my ways!
I have finished my crossword. No mention of London today!
I am going to tune in to the golf now, and see how Lake Michigan is doing for golf clubs.

CJ won 15 to 1 twice, apparently
I like Kevin best, he knows just so much but never crows unlike Barry. I also like Pat. I do not like the new woman, Lisa.

I heard that Daphne and Judith could not stand each other and, on one occasion, when it was just the two of them left on the team, I thought Daphne's looks could have killed Judith ;)

Hello, Doglet!
I'm relieved to hear that you got everything fixed so quickly!
It's useful having a friend who owns a plumbing business!
One of my friends used to repair our washing-machine and tumbler drier when necessary. He'd be round in five minutes!
Unfortunately he has now retired to the country!! I don't know how we will cope when something goes wrong now!
Good luck with looking weary and exhausted when your husband comes home.... you are wicked!

Hey, Rusty!
I don't know about a connection to the Tower of London but Ravensbourne River may well be connected with a raven!
I think officially the origin of the name is uncertain, but there is a fanciful tradition that has Caesar ( it is unsure which one? Julius or Claudius?) following a raven to the source of the river in order to find fresh water.
This may or may not be true.
Thank you for the link about Edge - I haven't looked at it yet but will do so later.
I may very well be a "hick from the sticks"! I know very little about technology as you know! and the little I do know I have to struggle to understand!
I'm the same with my mobile phone..... bring back carrier pigeons!
As I recall (it was a long time ago when the programme was discontinued ) 15 to 1 was shown about teatime? I was never around then to watch, but used to record it to watch later at leisure - as I do Eggheads..
I like answering the questions!
How is your golf going? Any more clubs ended up in the lake?
