Elle, I have never heard of Toby Carvery.
Who or what is he? It sounds like a tattoo shop to me.
I get my meals at home, except when I go for a bacon roll or an ice cream. I do not "do" sophistication.
I ordered a new wallet and there is a lovely smell of new leather around the house.
Got it from folk who specialise in lamb products.
Now, if I just had some money to put in it....

There you go, Rusty - take some of your photos out of "The Cloud", print them off, and put them in your new wallet!
We're off out now... talk later....

That's a very good one, Ros - I haven't heard it before!
Btw, another good game we play with the boys is Draughts.

No photos in my wallet,....or money!
But... I have around 500 photos in my phone, and many more up in the Cloud!
I do not know who invented the Cloud, (Mr Google?) but they certainly get a pat on the back from me.
I am going to keep in with the lamb folk who made my empty wallet.
I think they make cosy slippers for winter, too.

One thing that made me hesitate buying a Chromebook was, it is a bit of a scutter printing stuff, if it was possible at all.
But, today, I notice that Curry's has several printers which can now print from the Cloud through WiFi.
Progress!

Good evening, Rusty!
We've had a very nice "last day" with the boys! Lunch at the Carvery and then we went to the garden centre and bought some plants, including four fuchsias for my hanging baskets. We have yet to plant them as it was too late today when we got home!
Their mum isn't coming for them till afternoon, so maybe tomorrow morning's job?
It will certainly be quiet without them once they go home! (I might sleep for a week!)
They and our youngest grandson have already planned to go to the Tower of London next visit!
The eldest boy wants to go to the Monument - the doric column built in memory of the Great Fire of London. He tells me that his teacher said that anyone climbing up it (via a narrow winding internal staircase) will be awarded a certificate on reaching the top. I don't know if this is so? I will have to research it.
I don't think I'm going to be accompanying him up it though! - there are 311 winding steps, and I'm terrified of heights.......I might get up it but I'd never get down again!!
Are you planning your Christmas present already - some soft lamb leather slippers?
Is this what they call nappa leather? or is that something different?

Elle, what is the "Carvery" for the umpteenth time!
That is a lot of steps to be climbing!
I would think not much headroom either?
I do not know about nappa leather.
My wallet came from Lambland, Ilfracombe, Devon, via eBay! Some smashing stuff on it.
You will be pleased to know it is all made in England!
Have a wee look?
Maybe you could get yourself something?
My current slippers are very good (from ASDA) but Lambland has a lot more styles etc. So...
The rain has stopped and it is a pleasant evening.
What about Junior Scrabble?

Thank you, Jazzgirl!
Elle can be forgetful.
I have never heard of Toby or his carvery.
The nearest one to me is at Perth.
The Isle of Skye Hotel.
To get there I would have to pass the Horn and the 15 rasher bacon rolls, so I will pass on the carvery.
At least now I know it is not a tattoo shop!

Hi, Rusty!
"Elle can be forgetful" indeed! It's your own fault... I don't always know when you are being serious and when you are having me on!!!!
I told you this morning that the Toby Carvery was for meals! I even suggested you take the girls! I also suggested googling it to see if there is one near you?
There is a choice of four roast meats during the week (five at weekends) - beef, pork, turkey and chicken (lamb at w/e). This is "carved" in front of you - hence the name "Carvery". It is £6-95 for the main course (but often there are special offers)
if you gave it a try, I am sure you and your granddaughters would find it a viable - and tasty - alternative to bacon rolls!!!!
Incidentally, you can choose one meat or even have all four!
No, it isn't a tattoo parlour! ( do you wonder I don't always believe you??!!)
Now....Junior Scrabble... we had one but lent it ages ago to someone for a visiting child and didn't get it back. A good idea though, I might get another one for their next visit. Although elder grandson could probably play the adult version - his vocabulary is excellent! He came out with 'discombobulated' the other day! Impressive?
Your wallet travelled a long way! I am glad you are pleased with it! I thought that wallets especially were made from nappa leather which I think it is a special sort of lamb's leather?
All you need now is some money to put inside it!
