Hello, Elle!
If you feel like that, perhaps take a break from crossword puzzles for a while.
It's no good if you do not enjoy doing them.
12d is "Capo di monte".
"Capote" is the writer, vague is "dim", "on" is in clue.
Piperdam is on the road to Coupar Angus.
About 25 miles or so, South of Loch of the Lowes.
It could be our bird, but there are many nests North and West of here.
The webcam at the loch is not working.
I emailed Cherry about it on Friday and she assures me they are working away to get it fixed.
The squirrelcam is not working, too.

Hi, Rusty!
Ah yes, thank you!
I understand now.
I had to look up the definition and see that "capdimonte" is porcelain?
But apparently, as you mentioned previously, just one word......not three?
I am not trying to lay the fault for my lack of enthusiasm with the crossword setters ....most of them do a brilliant job, and deserve all praise........
But I just don't like the way our language - meanings of words, and grammar (mostly the lack of the latter) - is going.
( I think I am having a bad day......I may feel more tolerant tomorrow! )
No, it sounds too long a shot for the "stray" osprey to be one of ours, doesn't it?
But if one is back here,,,,then maybe Laddie snd Lassie will not be far behind?

Good evening, Elle!
Probably one or three words is acceptable?
You have enough on your mind with your roof and flood to concentrate on puzzles!
Language will evolve, Elle, it always has.
I can not comment on grammar because my knowledge of it is very scant.
I don't think I got it at my school, that I can remember.
The osprey was seen flying towards Lundie, which is in a direct line between Piperdam and Loch of the Lowes.
So, there is a possibility it's one of ours, but it could well be heading further West or North.
Last year Lassie flew in on 20th March.

Good evening, Rusty!
I expect the Rangers will let us know as soon as there is news about Lassie or Laddie.
Is it usually Lassie who arrives first?
I cannot remember?
It will be good to be able to follow the progress of a new osprey family - I have enjoyed doing that.
Sadly, the Egyptian geese seem to have lost another of their babies.....
I only saw two this morning.......and that was borne out by this afternoon's count.
Right, I shall go and watch "Eggheads"...I have recorded it from earlier.

Hello, Elle!
The Rangers will likely blog the arrival, and put it out on Twitter and Facebook, too.
Usually it is Laddie who lands first, but last year it was Lassie.
Cherry told me the webcam is working perfectly but it is not transmitting.
I think software is being blamed!
There are no reports of birds being at other UK nests, so far.
I am recording "Who Wants to be a Millionaire"!

Hi, Rusty!
I still haven't got around to catching up with "Eggheads"!
My daughter phoned and we have been chatting all this while.
She did her voluntary teaching/ lecturing this evening after work, and so was ringing me on her way home.
We talk till she usually loses reception near Lewisham.
I don't watch "Who Wants to be a Millionaire," although I saw Judith's "win" on YouTube!
I should think one would be on to a winner should Kevin (from "Eggheads") be one's "phone-a-friend"!

Hello, Elle!
Well done your daughter on 'phoning you every evening!
Kevin would be a great "'phone-a-friend"!
Here is another Egghead on "Millionaire".
And I knew the answer!

Hi, Rusty!
Than you for the clip!
I had never seen Pat winning his million!
I wonder did he share some of it with his "phone - a - friend," who endorsed his thoughts on the correct answer?
Well done you on knowing the answer, too!
I didn't know it...although I did know Judith's million pounds answer!

Hello, Elle!
I only knew because I am interested in horse racing, and it was a fairly easy question if you know your horses.
I noticed Pat's wife pressed the wrong answer button on her gadget.
I think the "friend" deserved a share of the winnings!
There are videos of Barry on "Millionaire", too, but I have not watched them and I do not know how far he got.
Judith was great on "Millionaire".
I did not know her £1 million question.
I liked her and Daphne, on Eggheads.
