Hello Elle,

Nice to hear from you (says she as it is she who has been absent from this thread!)

Thank you for the advice about the Thyroid - Don't think they checked it in hospital, but they may well have done so! They
gave me so many tests etc.... Heart beat seems Okay though, but I'll mention it to GP -

I am somewhat anxious about seeing someone who does not know me from Adam! I was so used to my previous one whom I knew both medically and personally - gave English lessons to both his sons as well as to his wife who wanted a refresher course.

Hope both you and your husband (and family) are all Okay?

Hello, Elle!
Been a fine day here, too!
Sloane is going well!
I watched her match highlights on YouTube.
And her interview!
No messing with Sloane!
She told one reporter who asked an inappropriate question, "Mind your own business, girl!"
She also thinks the world of Judy and Andy Murray.
I found this illusionist on "Asia's Got Talent".
She's called "The Sacred Riana", and she's a bit scary!

Hi, Rusty!
Isn't Madison Keys a friend of Sloane's?
Or have I dreamt this?
Madison plays tomorrow...….
And so do the Williams sisters.
I think the tournament is still wide open?
My goodness, that illusionist is creepy!
The silence ..and that little flick of the head......and carrying the doll.....
Yes, as you say .....scary!!
I wonder how she managed the photo trick?
I thought she might smile at the end of her audition......but no!

Hello, Pigale!
We are all fine , thank you.
It is BB's birthday today, so I have been speaking to him on the phone to wish him a "Happy Birthday"!
We are all going out for lunch tomorrow. to celebrate!

I've just asked malone this on the alphapuzzle thread - let's see if anyone here knows!
Do you know what is unique about Boa constrictor?

Hello, Elle!
Yes, Madison and Sloane are best pals.
They contested the final of the US Open, remember?
I'd suggest the photo is a double exposure,
The Sacred Riana was already on it (taken previously) and fitted the judge in to it when she took the pic on the show.
I am not sure, but that's my stab at it.
And how did the cards move?
I can't explain that.
She was invited on to America's Got Talent, too, and was even scarier!
I have seen several of her performances now, and she really commands my attention!

Rusty, you mentioned Sloane Stephens and her comments about Andy Murray. I was interested enough to look that up - and it was lovely, some very interesting stuff. I knew very little about Sloane, but she sounds great - quite funny herself, a little impish and so on. Thanks!

Hello, Malone!
I'm a fan of Sloane!
She is often very funny in her interviews, and a fine player.
She's won the US Open.
But, as you will have seen, praises the Murray family to the heavens.
I hope she goes far in the tournament!

Update, Elle!
This is The Sacred Riana's auditions in America.
Pretty similar to the one in Indonesia, but even scarier!
I don't think Mel B likes her very much!
And I noticed "Sacred" is an anagram of "scared"?

Rusty, the stuff about the Murrays was lovely, but I think I was equally impressed with Sloane herself. I used to read the interviews with British players - Heather Watson, Jo Konta and so on - and they always seemed to be rather anaemic. I never got a sense of the people themselves! Sloane seems to have a lot going for her, both as a player and as a person - so I'll join you in wishing her well!

Hello, Malone,
Here's a very brief clip of an interview with Sloane when she won the US Open.
The background to this is, Sloane got $3.7 millon for winning, and she beat her best friend, Madison Keys, in the final.
Madison got $1.8 million.
I thought it very Sloane, very funny!
