Yes, I am pleased with my books sort -out.
I 've been up the ladder again!
And I have unearthed a lot of "old" treasured books - many of them classics - that I shall enjoy re-reading in due course.
I'm afraid I still do not have much space on my bookshelves - most of the shelves are still two books deep!
But at least there are no longer piles of books accumulating in corners!
I may go visit this church when it has its new roof!!
I can stand there, admiring said roof, consumed with parental pride!

We have rain here, too, but no wind as yet.
I am reading that Storm Diana is set to hit the UK with heavy fog , causing much travel disruption.
But we had our thick fog this morning...surely ahead of schedule....
I am wondering retrospectively if that was down to an early appearance of Diana?
I have been watching "Eggheads", but am finding it hard to stay awake !!
It is far too early to think of bed.....if I sleep now, I shall be awake for most of the night.
I think I'll go make some coffee...that might wake me up......

We have a warning in place for gales and possible flooding.

I have watched "Eggheads", and "Fifteen to One"...and belatedly nearly finished the crossword.
I am very late with it today.....I abandoned it earlier to sort my books.
There are five clues that I simply cannot do......I think I will concede defeat there, and call it a day.
Maybe read another chapter or two of my book before bed....

Quite a good puzzle though.

Very wet here ......but fortunately no wind.
We went for our usual walk.
I would have stayed home had it been in any way dangerous, with risk of falling branches or even trees, but all is relatively calm.
Thank you for the elusive answers to the two clues I couldn't do...and the explanations for the others!
I can understand them now that you have explained to me, but would never have got there on my own.
I have a birthday card to write.... I shall post it later when I take the dog out again.
