Hello, Pigale!
I love it, Pigale! I might just try it!
And at least they would be in with a good chance of realising what it meant!
Whereas some of the "new" words are well out of my sphere.
But it's a great challenge to find the answers, isn't it?
And unlike some other crosswords, we are coming away with positive knowledge from what we have discovered.
There are some very clever parsings, aren't there?
But a lot - I think about ten - that I still cannot fully "do"!

Hi, Rusty!
Yes, thank you again for your help - and your patience with my idiosyncrasies!
I have just completed the Jumbo GK...at least I managed that without any difficulties.
It looks like we are having a quiet day tomorrow, our daughter having decided that she needs to stay home and clean her house.........
And they all want to come over here the following Sunday as it is our Wedding Anniversary - the little ones want to help us celebrate!
I am not sure quite in what form they are envisaging this "celebration" taking place..... maybe some more heel-kicks?

Hello Elle,

I can't be sure I have all the parsings correct either, this is where
my friend who Skypes every other day or so comes in handy - he does
the Monthly too - well, I send it to him - we both work independently and 'consult' every now and then, particularly when really stuck somewhere. Then we try
and give hints as opposed to direct answer - it stops getting
totally stuck and unable to go any further at all.

I find it quite hard, but as you say a great and interesting challenge yet unlike you, I certainly need the whole month to complete it.
My motto has always been that the best way to remember a word was by using it myself, and with some of these ....... I am not even sure I will remember the meaning of some of them in a week,
let alone being able to use them in a casual conversation.

Anyone, there will be a new one soon, so I better put my thinking
cap on for the last few. (or half few as I sometimes have the
beginning but cannot get the end of the word - do you find this
too? ie 10a OCH??? - it'll come to me tomorrow perhaps!

Good morning, Elle!
Lovely day here!
Hope you enjoy your quiet day!
I have no plans, too, though I am sure I'll find something to occupy myself.

Good Morning, Rusty!
Well, it was dry here, and dull, but mildish, at 8 o'clock, when dog and I went out.......
But now, guess what, it is raining again!
I have a parcel coming between 11am and 1pm.
I didn't know deliveries took place on a Sunday?
Meanwhile, I shall entertain myself with various crosswords.....and maybe put a bit more effort put into my (very difficult) jigsaw puzzle......
No further plans for today...save probably another walk this afternoon!

Good afternoon, Elle!
Some companies deliver every day and even in the evening.
Online shopping is a huge business nowadays, hence the service you received.
Still a great day here.
Been repairing my Bradford's Dictionary.
It is almost at the falling apart stage due to being very well used.
It has came to my rescue many a time!
May have a wee look on Amazon to see what a replacement would cost.

Hi, Rusty!
I am home again now!
And luckily the rain held off whilst we were out, apart from a fine drizzle.
Your Bradford's sounds to be in a similar forlorn state as my Shakespeare.....
I inherited the volume of all Shakepeare's works from a very old friend, and am consequently reluctant to replace it, as it has sentimental value.
But it no longer even has a back!
I have had fun today with all my crosswords........
I have completed the Everyman , the ST Cryptic, and have even (so far) done three-quarters of the Guardian Prize puzzle!
Not to mention now being on the last of my "Enzo Files" crime novels.
A busy day!
Did you get out for a walk?

Hello, Elle!
You had drizzle! It has been fine here.
Now if you only had a modern 'phone!
My pal has the Complete Works of Shakespeare app downloaded to his 'phone, and also Birds of Britain. (every bird in Britain).
I think they were free apps, but not sure.
I have not been out today.
But, I have made soup, cut and washed my hair, repaired my Bradfords, repaired the sealing around my sink, and sharpened four pairs of scissors.
Now it's teatime and I am hungry!

Good evening, Rusty!
You have indeed been busy!
What soup did you make?
We had home -made sprout soup (I love sprouts!) for lunch, before heading out for our walk.
We are going to have Chinese cuisine for dinner.
Courtesy of Sainsburys, though - not home made!
You have cut your hair?
You must feel possibly light-headed!
It seems a long time since you last mentioned doing that?
I hope you do not suffer like Samson!
( Maybe that is why you are hungry...?!)
What will your granddaughters have to say?
Er...just a point..did you sharpen the scissors before or after you cut your hair......
I am but joking - I am sure that it looks very nice!
