In 1, the setter is saying that oop North, they say "un" for "one".

Ah yes, I can see the explanation for 6d : attache, now......
Now 10a...... "ana" is a new word for me ....I did not know that it means "stories".
And "grammatical" will be "well- expressed"......
So "anagrammatical" must be the answer - meaning "with changing characters."

I just wasn't clever enough to get it!
It's news to me that we say "un" for "one" up North!
To me, "un / une" is simply the French word for "one"!
And I couldn't fit that into the clue!

Well, there is no disputing that "un" is written down there, given as Northern dialect in both Lancashire and Yorkshire!
As indeed are very many other words that I totally fail to recognise!
I guess I never really heard much "dialect" spoken in my day-to day life, when I lived in Bolton.
( I must have led a very sheltered existence!)
I will forthwith offer a mental apology to the crossword setter for my doubts as to its authenticity!
I am enjoying Jo's book.
She comes across as such a pleasant "normal" person - just as she has always appeared whenever I have seen her in any Athletics events.
She and Paula Radcliffe once ran in a charity event - "Race for Life" - in which my daughter was participating.
My daughter said that both were lovely to all the other runners, and very encouraging!

I have been doing a few household tasks...….

No, seriously.....I am happy to dispense with the idea of a further wardrobe, if my husband and I can come to some sensible arrangement about the existing ones!
Ironically, you were not so very far from the truth, when you joked about my using the "new" wardrobe for my books!
Because this, in essence, is what my husband has done with our present wardrobes!
He has piled all sorts of objects in the bottoms of all the wardrobes....both his and mine!
Thus I cannot hang full length coats in my "own" wardrobe!!
I am seeking a compromise......
I will give up the idea of another wardrobe..........if he will clear all the clutter accumulated in the bottom of "my" wardrobe!
That sounds like a fair deal to me?
