Hello, Elle!
That's fine.
I had an idea Chichester was a smallish town rather than a city, but then not far North of me there is Brechin which is a city and not very large at all.
So, is Borough of Tower Hamlets part of London?
I think you have mentioned it before?
The Stepney I know used to play in goal for Manchester United.
I'll have athletics on in the background.
I have a shoe to mend!

HI, Rusty!
Dina Asher-Smith has just won her race yet again!
I think she is unbeatable right now!
Sorry, I wasn't very explicit......yes, Tower Hamlets is a London Borough covering most of the East End.
What is wrong with your shoe?
What exactly do you have to fix?
Don't forget that wonderful "Stormsure" glue that you found for me.......
It is marvellous at repairing leaks!
Stormsure has given my Nubucks a new lease of life!

Hello, Elle!
I only watched Laura Muir racing.
The sole is coming off the upper part of my shoe.
They are Nike trail shoes and around ten years old.
Best shoes I have ever worn, faithful friends, so I keep repairing them.
I have replacement Skechers that Miss O and me bought in May but I am unwilling to part with my Nikes!
And you are sure Stepney is a part of London?
I can see me buying a street map of London to cope with all these capital clues!

Hi, Rusty!
Yes, Rusty, I am sure that Stepney is a part of London!
As I understand it , Stepney, Poplar and Bethnal Green are all in the Borough of Tower Hamlet.
I could be wrong, though...after all, I am no Londoner!
And I have never even been to the East End!
Now...I didn't get to watch all of the Grand Prix, due to several interruptions...but I recorded it, so I shall flick through and see what I missed!

Hello, Elle!
I have put Stepney in, anyway!
There are many London street maps on Amazon, but I really do not think I should need one, if only certain setters would show a bit more imagination!
I have heard of the East End, though!
There is a program on BBC 4 later about the West coast of Ireland.
Should be good. I shall record it.

Hi, Rusty!
Yes, Stepney was indeed the answer to 8d!
As Chris has said in his post, Stepney is mentioned in "Oranges and Lemons", a children's nursery rhyme, detailing the bells of churches within or near to the City of London.
I did not think of suggesting this rhyme to you!
But do you not know it? Did you not say /sing it as a child?
(It's also a game played at children's parties!)
Yes, I see the programme about Ireland that you mentioned .......
I shall record it, too, as it will fit in nicely with my "tour" of the Wild Atlantic Way!
Right, I'd better organise dinner...…

Hello, Chris!
Well remembered!
I should have thought of that!

Good evening, Elle!
No, I do not know the rhyme.
I know the title, but not the words in the rhyme.
There were no parties when I was wee, except at New Year.
It is a fine evening here.
One chick still at the nest.

Hi, Rusty!
Did you click on the link about the bells?
I think you will find it interesting.
Now.....I must apologise for misinforming you earlier ...Dina Asher-Smith came in second in the 200m at the Birmingham Grand Prix today....
The race was won by Shaunae Miller-Uibo!
I made the mistake because I was on the phone; when what I thought was today's race was being shown...it was actually a repeat of a previous race!
Still, "second" is good!
I am a tad concerned about the second younger chick...he doesn't seem to be showing the appropriate signs of independence , does he?
I cannot see how how he will survive on his own......

Good morning, Rusty!
We have a dull but dry day here so far....coolish out.
The temperature is suppose to reach 25C by 5pm, but at the moment I am hard put to believe it!
A denim jacket needed outdoors first thing!
No plans for today other than "tweak" the bedrooms, in readiness for our visitors tomorrow!
I shall settle down to the Everyman, with my apple and cheese and a cup of coffee..........
