PS - I am very annoyed at the fans, and I think that the motorbikes did not do their job to ensure a safe route towards the end of the race. Dangerous!

I know Vultures are not everyones favourite bird but the ones who hung around the garden in Assam were really very handsome in a ragged sort of way and they cleared any rubbish left about but they wouldnt eat our cooks rock cakes, they could have been used for missilesThey looked like old men when on the ground but they were superb in the air.Only saw a bear in Japan as they raided the hotel bins and they were very bold and cheeky the visitors loved them so no one bothered with them

I may not keep one as a pet Doglet, but I think eagles are majestic.

On the other hand, I have a small kestrel that comes twice a year (Spring and Autumn) in the garden, and of course he goes for small birds. Don't like that too much but that's nature! and he is a beauty too, particular the eyes - I was lucky to see him from quite close up one day through a window, as he was sitting on an old 1m high tree trunk (ideal for putting geraniums in a pot)

Elle, be very careful in the garden!
You shall have to be patient. Bears dont grow on trees, that's pears.
The eagle was enormous.
I watched a tennis player last night. I was looking for Yannick Noah (who is a very good singer!) and came across him. He was extremely funny.
His name, I think, is Bahrami. He is Persian but but speaks French. Do you know him well?
Also came across Roger Federer.
He has a great sense of humour. A funny man.
Unlike his public persona of having a face like a well-kept grave.

Pigale! No French winner! A pity!
Froome was impressive today.
He could well win, but he is a poor descender, and did someone say, we are still a long way from Paris?
Wonderful scenery, too! I think it was the largest eagle I have ever seen.
It seemed to be the Spanish fans crowding the road, but it is impossible to put barriers up the entire climb.

Doglet,
There was a piece in my local paper today from a spokesman for "Tayside Raptor Study Group" regarding our ospreys.
He said, "The breeding ospreys at Strathallan breezed through the concert weekend with not a feather out of place." They were watching the nest through telescopes all weekend. Good to know.
Some visitors to the concert described the site as the worst event ever seen. Security non-existent, understaffed, poorly organised, and downright dangerous.
Yet, my granddaughters were there and thought it was brilliant!

Well, people like Contador, Voeckler (is he in the race... ?)
Rolland , and the French teams in general cannot go on saying 'it's a long way from Paris' . There comes a point when they must try a bit harder - Paris is only ten days from now (not counting the Champs Elysees day).

I also wish the French commentators would stop shouting 'Cocorico' because T. Galopin is French and appears to be doing not too bad - he might be French but he rides for a Belgium team !

The truth is that the Sky team managed the day very well, intelligently, and Froome believed in himself.

Pigale, I take your point about Voeckler.
Only time I saw him he was getting dropped.
I am not a fan of Team Sky, with the exception of Geraint Thomas, but they rode very well today, and turned the screw another notch!

Evening, Rusty!
Have you had a good day?
I've been watching a little of the cycling. I watched some earlier in the day before going out with the dog, then I watched the highlights this evening
I'm finding it somewhat confusing! but no doubt all will eventually become clear? (she asks in desperation!)
Froome did very well.
And the countryside and mountain views were incredible!
Do the spectators always behave like that? I thought it was quite dangerous the way they obstructed the road?
Now.......... Bahrami!
Mansour Bahrami has dual Iranian and French nationality. He is a very clever tennis player, very skilful and amusing on court. He has somewhat of a reputation for 'clowning around,' especially in later years when playing in the Seniors Invitation Doubles at Wimbledon. But he can play the fool and still play brilliant tennis and win the point!
Have you never seen him play? Well worth watching.
I think he played with Yannick Noah at some stage?
Roger Federer seems a very nice man! ( he does not have a face like a well -kept grave!)
