Good evening, Jazzgirl!
Thank you very much for your helpful information!
In the past, I have "pocket-dialled" folk by accident.
My phone being in my jacket or shirt pocket at the time and I must have inadvertently banged or knocked it somehow.
But today, my phone was sitting on my desk as usual.
I was repairing my Chambers with glue, and then went to kitchen for a few minutes to make my tea, came back when my phone rang and it was my daughter-in-law calling, thinking something was wrong.
She said I had called her but did not speak!
So, I am at a loss to understand how it happened.
The call lasted 8 minutes.
I almost never use my mobile phone for calls, but prefer texting and WhatsApping.
Anyway I set the anti-virus app loose on the phone, and Malwarebytes, and it seems to be fine now!

OOh-er rusty
That is a mystery. You have done all possible to check for viruses.
So all should be well now.

Hello, Jazzgirl!
I have discovered there are apps available to prevent "pocket-dialling" etc from the Google Play Store.
One that I looked at had "Call Confirm" on it.
Meaning, if you call someone, you are asked to "confirm" the call before it rings the intended recipient.
The apps are free, but I won't get one just now, in the hope that it does not happen again!

Hi, Rusty!
Goodness, that was indeed a mystery about your phone!
Fortunately , no harm seems to have been done...and you had a nice chat with your daughter- in-law as a result of the "mishap"!
It is worrying, though, how it could possibly have occurred when your phone was lying untouched on your desk.....?
That was nice of Jazzgirl to try to help you.
Hopefully as you have all sorts of checks and preventions set in place, it won't happen again...…
It is good to have "Eggheads" back again now that the tennis has finished.
I missed the daily half hour taxing of my brain power!!
We have a pleasant evening here, and it is a little bit fresher now , thank fully.
I am just about to organise dinner.
I think we might have omelettes!

Hello rusty
That app. sounds useful.
My landline phone (BT Decor) has given up the ghost after 12 years.
I now have a cordless phone with call blocker which can be used even at the end of the garden. But all the technology on it is ridiculous, half of which I will never use.
I am switching off the wifi for this evening to relax in the garden, so I wish you and all a goodnight

Hello, Elle!
Yes, strange goings on with my phone.
I don't suppose the little people have placed a curse upon me?
Hope not!
Yes, the outcome was a good yarn with my daughter-in-law and I am going to visit her/them on Saturday.
They are going to London on holiday next week.
Yes, very nice of Jazzgirl to offer help!
It is a fine evening here.

Hello, Jazzgirl!
My landline phone is a BT Decor, too!
Had it for years.
My preference is a simple phone without too much in the way of technology.
The BT Decor is fine, in that respect.

Hi, Rusty!
Thank you for the clip!
Yes, that was another lovely rendering of the "Wild Atlantic Way" - by my "namesake"!
I am enjoying my leisurely strolling down the WWA!
It isn't that long since your son and daughter -in -law came to London previously.......are they coming to see a show?
Will Miss O'Hara come with them?
There are always some great things going on in London - lots to do and see.
River boat trips should be especially nice in this lovely weather.
I am sure they will have a great time.

Good morning, Elle!
Fine start to the day here.
Hope it does not get too warm.
Your namesake is a fine singer!
I have "saved" quite a few of the videos of the Wild Atlantic Way, in YouTube.
My son and family are in London for a week but I am not "in" on their plans.
I'll maybe hear more on Saturday.
Yes, young Miss O'Hara is going, too.
The Tour is in the Alps today.
You can find it (and the scenery and wolves) on ITV4.
I can't see Greg van Avarmaet keeping the yellow jersey in the mountains...we shall see!
I have a "scrape and polish" later at my dentist.
Not fond of that, at all!
