Hi, Rusty!
My desk top is an Asus!
I have been very pleased with it.
A few surprises in the women's tennis....
I have just been catching up, reading the newsletter that I receive from Wimbledon each day of the tournament.
I see that Petra Kvitnova , previous Wimbledon winner , has surprisingly gone out to Sasnovich.
And Maria Sharapova has been beaten in the first round by what I think is a fellow countrywoman, Diatchenko.
First on Centre court this afternoon is Karolina Pliskova, who I think might stand a good chance of winning the tournament if she continues to play well.
But there are some very good female contenders.
Roger is playing second on Centre court, so I shall probably watch that match later.
Are you planning on watching any of the tennis?
Or do you have other plans?

Hello, Elle!
Is your Asus desktop trouble-free and wonderful?
That is the requirement I am looking for!
I will discuss with Miss O how much memory etc I need, but I think the basic model will do me fine.
The young ones all have Apple appliances, so my choice would maybe be a bit down market for them!
I just missed Madison Keys!
But she is through to the next round.
I shall look in on the tennis, and the pro-am at Ballyliffin.
Are you on the Wild Atlantic Way today?
Do you remember Hugh P and Maria (father and daughter singers, "I Heard the Bluebirds Sing")?
They live in Buncrana, which is on the WAW.
You could pop in for a visit?

Hi, Rusty!
My daughter came with me when I bought my present computer...so the Asus was really her choice , not mine!
But as she is a Software Engineer, I go with her advice!
I am sure Miss O will help you to choice something suitable for your requirements.
No, I haven't had the chance to look in on the WAW so far today, although I had a good browse last night.
Yes, I do remember Hugh P and daughter Maria...... you sent me clip of them singing!
I thought it great!
I shall look out for them in due course when exploring more of the Wild Atlantic Way!
Karolina Pliskova won her match easily in two straight sets …….
Roger should be on next!

Hello, Elle!
Miss O will be a big help, I'm sure!
Still very warm here.
Great day at Ballyliffin, too!
Just watching a bit of it on TV.
Glad you liked Hugh P and Maria!
Here is another song they did and a lot of it filmed at Buncrana Beach.

Yes, look out for them!
I'm sure Maria would make you a cuppa!

Hi, Rusty!
Very grey and menacing here.....
I rushed out earlier and brought in my washing, in case the rain arrived!
No sign of it yet, though, and it was supposed to arrive at 4 pm.
More upsets in the women's tennis!
Lucie Safarova beat Aggie Radwanska in two straight sets.
And Caroline Wozniacki has lost the first set of her match.........
While in the men's tennis, Roger won through easily in three sets.
But Novak has had to go to five sets before winning.
I am now taking a break!
Yes.......thank you...... I enjoyed Hugh P and Maria!
How is the golf going at Ballyliffin?

Hello, Elle!
Lucky you with the rain!
Very warm here?
I have watched some of the tennis.
The second round losers get £63,000.
A lot of money!
Glad you like Hugh P and Maria!
Looks like Hugh P was in a showband in his young days!
The golf at Ballyliffin does not start properly until tomorrow.
Today is for practice and the pro-am.
Saw quite a bit of the scenery of Inishowen, too.
A nice part of the world!

Good evening, Rusty!
Thank you for the update on the osprey chicks........I hadn't checked in on them today.
It is good to see them doing so well!
Our rain did come......and lasted all of ten minutes!
A very light shower!
However, it is pouring down at Wimbledon...and rain has stopped play....
The courts are now being covered.
Stan Wawrinka is struggling - two sets down against Fabbiano.
The third set was at a crucial stage when they were rained off!
Stan was possibly going to win the third set...but I don't know how the disruption of play will now affect the outcome?
Cheese and onion omelette and chips for dinner....
Very kindly served to me in front of the TV, so that I didn't need to leave the match!!!
I am in danger of being spoiled!

Hello, Elle!
Yes, it's good to see the chicks thriving.
A pity you only had 10 minutes of rain.
Your dinner sounds very appetising!
A wee bit of spoiling won't harm you!

Hi, Rusty!
No, the rain didn't last long enough to help the garden!
We shall have to go water it shortly, especially the lawn.
We have just had the six- monthly comparison water bill promised us by Thames Water, showing the difference between the cost of our water now...and what it would be costing were we already metered!
Despite fervent assurances from TW that being metered would save us a lot of money, the bill shows that being on the meter would prove £35 MORE expensive over a six monthly period!
I am not impressed!
You are fortunate that, as yet, you are not being forced into having a water meter!
It is till raining at Wimbledon!
I do not think there will be any more play tonight now.
