Elle
If you Google 'Sport on BBC' and follow the link, with patience, you will get a schedule of forthcoming sport on BBC, including Red Button. Good luck!

Hello, Elle!
I thought "Under Milk Wood" was a nice clue?
To exploit is to "milk"
To exploit insufficiently is to "under milk".
The golf club is a "wood"
I had heard of the play vaguely but did not know who wrote it.
Now, good tip from Kenyatta!
This is a blow by blow account of how I find the BBC Sport schedule!
First, select any BBC channel.
Now, press either "text" button or "red" button on your remote control.
A menu will appear on screen.
Select "Sport Index".
Then, select "Headlines".
Now, select "Sport schedules on BBC Television"
This takes you into 21 pages of upcoming programmes on all BBC Channels plus Red Button transmissions, for the next few days.
Hopefully that is the same system you have?
I think yes my son will be here later.
I see his van outside his house.

hi rusty
I have just followed your instructions for Elle, and it worked perfectly. I did not know of that method to find sport schedules......I usually use the "guide" button on the TV remote.
btw "Under Milk Wood" is a favourite of mine. I have a recording of it by Richard Burton .."there's nice" as the Welsh would say

Just a thought, Elle.
If you pop over to AnswerBank, type "red button" into the Search Box.
There are dozens of queries and posts to read, with very good advice on all "red button" issues.

Hello, Jazzgirl!
How are you and the heat getting on?
Very warm here!
I'm glad you found my post useful.
Hopefully, Elle will be the same!
I have since looked up "Under Milk Wood" and it seems to be a very successful play.
Richard Burton had a very distinctive voice!

hello rusty
The heat is more pleasant with a nice breeze here.
You may remember Magworth who was a regular poster on the RT thread here. Well, she and I and "caravaggio" were all Dylan Thomas fans. Jokingly, Magworth called herself Polly Garter and I was Mrs Willy Nilly (characters from the play" )

Elle, Rusty, Jazzgirl, I had a slightly easier route to finding the Athletics coverage. I went online to the BBC Sport page. In the bottom right-hand corner, there's a big blue box, marked LIVE GUIDE. If you click on that, it gives details of all forthcoming live coverage. A little list of sports came up, I clicked on Athletics and was told that on Saturday it would be 'live on BBC Red Button and online from 14.45 -17.00'.

Like Elle, I have a digital tv recorder and mine does have a programme guide, but I decided to try the method above.

Hello, Jazzgirl.
No breeze here!
Yes, I do remember Magworth from the RT thread.
I'll have to find out about Mrs Willy Nilly!

Hello, Malone!
More useful advice regarding red button! Well done!
Now, what can you do about getting rid of "spammers"!
