Pigale, it could be that French Television did not show Didi, and Eurosport certainly did?
I know him very well, now, and expect to see him in the mountains, again.
I saw a photo taken earlier today of the two Bernards, on the podium. Thevenet and Hinault!
Both look very fit and healthy.
It is a long time since I saw Bernard Thevenet!
Pigale, I agree about the mad spectators not giving the riders room. On one infamous occasion, one punched Eddy Merckx in the stomach!

Oh Elle so true. I loved today's match. Why couldn't Federer play today like he did against Murray on Friday? What a masterclass that was!
It is the Davis cup next so tennis is not over for a while yet ;)

Ladies final was ok, but not as dramatic as today. Serena was set to win, but there was a short moment when I did wonder if Mugaruza could do it......

Evening, Rusty!
Well, Wimbledon is over for another year!
Whatever shall I do with myself?
Actually, in some ways I am relieved...at least I can get my life back!......tennis kind of takes over for this fortnight every year! Everything else gets put on hold!(Self -indulgence?)
Now the cycling...BMC (who are they?) won the TTT - this means that they were the team that got the lowest aggregate times for that stage?
And when the cyclists reach the mountains , they compete for the polka-dot jersey for the King of the Mountains? Now does this jersey remain with this winner ie he continues to wear it for the rest of the race?
If this is so, what happens if that particular rider then wins the yellow jersey? - he can't wear two jerseys? ( I'm confusing myself!)
I shall try to follow it when I am around to do so - I'm getting intrigued!
All is quiet in the garden - especially around the May tree.....

Elle!
You said I had mentioned Rickie Fowler once or twice.
He has just won the Scottish Open Golf Tournament.
I am very pleased for young Rickie!

Yes, Lilacwine, Federer did play better against Murray, but in all fairness Djokovic is in a different class to Murray. Roger probably played as well today as Novak allowed him to do.
In fact, Roger played the better tennis initially in the match, but Novak rose to the occasion when required and really was excellent.
Btw, I wanted Roger Federer to win! how about you?
I don't think I get coverage of the Davis cup on Freeview?

Elle, I am delighted for him!
I had a wee bet on him but that is unimportant.
Just for fun.
British Open is this week so that will give the young man confidence.
I am hearing chaos at P in the Dark.
A man been hit by a bus.
People being crushed in the crowd.
Traffic cannot get out of car parks.
Organisers making plenty money though.
Sickening.
I hear Noel Gallagher has a band called High Flying Birds. Is this the little creep thumbing his nose at the ospreys?

Rusty, Elle has a point ! What would happen if the King of the Mountain also qualified for the Yellow Jersey ?

This must have happened in the past, but can't remember.
