Yes, my search was successful!
I have ordered two over -hooks of the type I described to you.
They are plastic, though.
I haven't been able to find any metal ones of that design - but I expect I shall get reasonable wear out of these.
Our original ones lasted quite a long time before finally collapsing!
Surely you must have ginger thins?
They are simply what the name says...extremely thin ginger biscuits!

I do not think I would like thin biscuits.
I usually get shortie biscuits.
All the family like them.

Online shopping is much better than visiting shops, I find.

A damp miserable day here!
I am running a bit behind schedule this morning.......
Our car has gone in for a service and its MOT, so a friend kindly came to collect me this morning, but he arrived later than I usually go out.
So I am only just home......
All being well, our mechanic should bring our car back this evening.
No particular plans for today.......
A pet shop delivery due late afternoon.

The latest is that the engineers were working to fix the "buffering" on the transmission, when they lost power , hence the black screen

I am not very well up on osprey mating!
Does she just sit in the nest.......and wait to be approached by some hopeful male?
By all accounts last year, when Odin "disappeared", there were several male ospreys "hovering" around ?
I hope the Loch of Lowes webcam is up and running again soon.... this is a poor do , this year!
The car should be okay... if necessary, our mechanic friend will fix whatever needs to be done.

There are no power cuts in the area.
Must be their own equipment that is on the blink.

I thought the crossword reasonably straightforward today?
I think I have parsed all the clues correctly.
I came cross a new phrase ......."hop the twig"....... meaning to peg out or die.
The answer was easy enough to get from the parsing, but the expression was a "foreign" one to me!
I suppose this is just an equivalent of "fall off his perch"?
I had to think what Longfellow had written.......of course it was about Hiawatha, wasn't it?
And "Paul Revere's Ride".
Our rain didn't stay away for long ...it is all wet again here!
Never mind....... wellies and raincoat to the fore...........
