the large cover in the middle of the road which the officials use would need a crowbar, but the little one at the end of my neighbour's garden only needs a screwdriver. Honest !

The lid on my neighbour's drive is very light, so that is why I am confused... I need to get a coffee ;)

JG, it sounds as if your neighbour has an extra smaller metre inside
his property - which is not Elle's case.

Your neighbour must have had a private one fitted in (whether he asked for it himself or not) - this is not the size streets metal cover!

Maybe your neighbour's cover is made of a different material from ours?
Certainly one could never "flick"ours , as was demonstrated on the video!
Our (smaller ) covers are cast iron - the same as is the large one that is over the sewers.
