I'll miss Mag, all right!
She will now become a broodmare.
The very good horses are retired and have a good life.
Kauto Star, the Gold Cup winner, took up dressage when he retired!
I suspect some horses may not be wanted when they retire.
A sad end indeed, lies ahead for some of them.
Younger horses will replace them, and the stable girls will be broken hearted when the lorry comes to take away a horse they have lovingly tended.
Unfortunately, racing is not all about winner's enclosures.

An enjoyable walk though, as we had an encouraging breeze!

As you said yesterday, the upmarket horses seem to get a good retirement deal.......but the more common- or- garden runners often have an unhappy outlook ahead of them.
I think it is a criminal attitude........but I suppose expense is the master?

of minutes, then disappeared again!

The day turned out to be beautiful- lovely sunshine and a blue sky - very springlike!
I had a most enjoyable time...chatting and catching up with my friend's news...and I had a very tasty lunch!

Glad you had a good time!

I am sure this camera is not showing a live picture.

If you go down to the black part at the bottom of the picture,
just above the black line you will see like a curser moving slowly
from left to right, and then it goes dark. The same happens
all over again every time I check in! It's almost like a recording!

They are having us on!

Yes, you are correct, camera on the blink again.
It was working yesterday, so goodness knows what is going on.
The squirrel cam was working, but the picture quality is awful for these modern times.
