Hi, Rusty!
Home again - just in time as it is fast going dark!
Yes, we had a great walk........meeting up with quite a few friends out with their dogs.
I had no idea who /what would be in a "parliament" and had to resort to asking Google!
After your hints, I have come up with "b owl ed" for the answer!
Now 6a....I have never heard of "acred"?
I take it the definition is "having much land" - and it is arrived at by removing the "s" from "sacred" (not originally untouchable)
A clever clue, but I couldn't get it!
I am going to find something to eat...I am feeling very hungry.......

Hello, Elle!
I thought "b owl ed" was a smashing clue!
I was sure you would know a parliament of owls?
This would be no help to you, but Anne Bradford has "owl" under "parliament".
No, I have never seen or heard of "acred", too.
Yes it seems to be (s)acred.
It's an OK clue, but nothing great, I do not think.

Hey, Rusty!
I hope you and your son have had a good evening together?
Now...... I am very behind times, and have only just done the Times QC....an easy one today.
I had my own personal clue........!
19a: When bad, go to this male, a blood expert (13)
How about that.... ?

Hi, Rusty!
It is good that you had a good talk with your son.
Your butcher s certainly very versatile!
The temperature here is set to go colder at the weekend...down to 2C, so we are told.
No mention of snow though.......
It sounds serious at your end, if the gritters are in action?
Yes, Well done on "haematologist"!
Perhaps Mr R is making amends for offending my sensibilities with "abattoir".....
I haven't ordered anything in the Black Friday Sale ......(yet)

Hello, Elle!
Yes, my son has a very good butcher.
They do curries and all sorts.
I hope the gritters are precautionary.

I have texted to the young ones to be careful driving in the morning.
I have my eye on a couple of things in the Sale.
But shall wait until the morn before I do anything.
Telling myself there may be further reductions!

Fine here, but dull, and becoming colder.......
Vehicle access through the "In" gate to the park was denied this morning, as the padlock key was missing!

Hi, Rusty!
I don't think that Asda is alone in holding out against Black Friday?
Selfridges, Ikea, Primark, and Next are amongst those that do not appear to be taking part, either.
I have had a look around online at various "deals", but I haven't bought anything.
I thought, though, that you were seriously considering buying another Chromebook?
Or is it about this that you are wanting to consult with the girls?
Will there be a Cyber Monday this year?
I haven't heard anything about that?
I didn't find any serious book offers that appealed, on Amazon....
Did you take a look?
