I have been looking at photos of Stonehenge sent to me by my daughter.
They enjoyed their visit there this afternoon!
Tonight they are staying at a Premier Inn.
She says the rooms are a good size; and everywhere is clean and comfortable!
That is good!
Tomorrow, they head over the border to Somerset.......that is, if my Geography is not leading me astray......

We've always been impressed by the rooms at Premier Inns. The food has been a bit hit or miss, though!

My Norn Iron friends often stay in a Premier Inn just about half a mile from me.
It is a converted and extended farmhouse.

My daughter and family are heading off to Wookey Hole Caves and Cheddar Gorge tomorrow......and I am thinking that both these attractions are in Somerset?
Am I right in thinking that Wiltshire lies next to Somerset?
A converted and extended farmhouse sounds a very attractive proposition in which to stay!
I have never stayed in a Premier Inn, but somehow I had assumed them (obviously erroneously) to be very modern buildings?
We have stayed in a few Ibis Hotels when travelling, and these proved very efficient and pleasant.

I am not sure where these attractions are, and I shall pass on Wiltshire and Somerset!
I know Somerset is great for the cider apples, but little more.
I used to visit the farmhouse many years ago.
It had an adjoining farm shop.
It has changed out of all recognition now, though.

The photography does make Dundee look most attractive!
Is that the Beacon that I can see on top of the hill?
It is quite an honour for your city to be ranked as number five in the World!
What I do find amusing is the grouping of some of the supposed top ranking cities ... Dundee........ Shanghai........Kuelap?
So disparate.
How ever would one go about comparing them?
I think the new V&A Museum of Design will be a big draw in bringing visitors / tourists? to Dundee in the near future.......

Yes, that is our war memorial and beacon on top of the Law.
The Law is our extinct (we hope!) volcano.
You probably know that law is a Scots word for hill?
The view is from the Fife side of the river at Newport-on-Tay, looking North.
Goodness only knows who or how was that list compiled!
The V&A is already bringing visitors to the city and it is not open yet!
It is a pretty unique building!

It is an absolutely glorious day here, but has become exceedingly chilly.
It is great though to be going out for early morning walks again!
This is by far my favourite time of day.

We have quite a drive to hit "proper" countryside - and water!
although we have several large parks and commons nearby, so in that we are very fortunate!
