Hi, Rusty!
Oh, well, my "lot" are still at the board game stage!
Although the older boys do have tablets.
No phones as yet.
My ingenuity for fresh games is being taxed!
They are becoming quite interested in card games, though, so maybe we can tackle some of the simpler ones.
Rummy maybe? or Whist?
I do not know of Admiral Mc Raven, although maybe I should?
I haven't looked further into the grass situation........I shall try to remember it for tomorrow's "job".......
I need a coffee......I fancy a ginger biscuit, but we don't have any.......

Hello, Elle,
I had never heard of the Admiral, too.
Just happened across him when I was browsing.
Three card brag is a good card game?
But it is a gambling game, maybe you would disapprove?
I am well supplied with biscuits!
Mainly shortie and chocolate digestives.
But, I got a bread toaster today so I will have to learn how to work it.
I am sure it will be straightforward, though.

Good morning, Rusty!
A fine day here but chilly as yet.
I have only been as far as the garden so far!
Our walk will wait till midday (ish)!
I have plans to read and do the Everyman this morning!
That is good that you have bought a toaster!
No longer will you have to watch the bread and ensure it doesn't burn!
A wonderful invention!
Did you use it this morning?
What time are you heading out to see Miss O'Hara ( and pup)?

Good morning, Elle!
Bit chilly here, too.
We are into Autumn!
Leaving soon for my visit.
I did not buy the bread toaster.
It was given to me by granddaughters.
I have no bread so I may buy some tomorrow, to try it.
Good luck with Everyman!
This is my day of rest from a puzzle!

Hi, Rusty!
I am not complaining, as I actually like the cooler/ colder weather!
I would far rather "wrap up" than "layer off"
I don't "do" heat!!
Ah, I did wonder about the toaster....
Well done, your granddaughters!
I am sure you will appreciate the toaster once you are used to it!
(It enables one to grope one's way through breakfast without fully "coming to"!
I find it very useful!)
I have nearly finished the Everyman!
Have a lovely time with your family!

Good Morning all
Petticoat Lane 1965 was my first and only visit. Clothes, bags, so-called gold jewellery, watches, china goods and a motley collection of other stuff . "The Happy Wanderers" jazz band (old boys playing sax, banjo, drum and other instruments) strolled through the lane and the Pearly King was collecting for charity. A few traders used to have a family member or mate planted in the crowd posing as an eager customer to encourage sales ! All good fun in those days. I am in the process of uploading some of my photos onto flickr.com before they fade

Hi, Rusty!
I did not know that it was your birthday!
Why didn't you say?
When was this?
Was it yesterday when your son came out with you and "treated" you to breakfast/ brunch?
Anyway, a Very Happy Birthday from me!
How was your visit with Miss O'H?
Is the pup behaving herself?
Just one to parse in the Everyman - an easy puzzle today.

Hello, Elle!
Yes, yesterday was my birthday, I keep a low profile!
For my sins I share a birthday with Simon Cowell, Vladimir Putin, and Alesha Dixon!
I like Alesha, anyway!
Miss O and Mum and Dad are fine.
Had to explain to Mum that her whirlygig in the back garden was properly called a Hill's Hoist!
The pup is super now.
Not nearly as harum scarum!

Hi, Rusty!
Well, Happy Birthday again, for yesterday!
I am glad that you had an enjoyable morning with your family.
My Hill's Hoist is currently employed in drying Summer weight jackets!
I have decided we shall no longer require such lightweight clothing now that Autumn is upon us.
So...as the sun is shining and there is a stiff breeze.....I have washed stuff to put away for the Winter!
And speaking of "whilst the sun is shining"........we are about to go out for a walk!
Catch up with you when I get back.
