Hello, Elle!
Jazzgirl suggested it would be in the car, and so did I !
You should pay attention to us!
But, well done anyway!
Treat yourselves both to an ice cream!
Be too late to stop the credit card stopping though?
Just access the EuroPlayer whatever way is easiest.
That is what is I would do.
And you have paid for it.
Pity you missed the US Open though.
Think "left field" is similar to "off the wall", which is American, and means "strange".
Have you finished your puzzle, or is the excitement of finding the wallet too much for you?!

Hurray Elle .
If ever my husband lost anything, it nearly always turned up under a car seat, or behind the sofa cushions.....
When I was cleaning, favourite finds were his mobile, pens, pencils, loose change, Murraymints and socks !

Hey, Rusty!
All sorted and that is the main thing!
(I would just mention though that it was not I who checked out the car........)
Yes, too late to stop the cancelling of the credit card....Barclaycard most efficiently did that straightaway.
Still, "All 's Well that Ends Well".
And EP working now, too........
Incredible!
I thought that I had completed the crossword...but have just noticed another unfinished clue.......
19a: Reportedly cross, whimper (4)
?E?L
I have no idea here?
"Cold Feet" to watch in ten minutes...I deserve a treat!

Hello, JG and Andy.......yes, you were right about its being in the car!
it is a relief to have found it!

Hello, Ros!
Yes, I expect you will be feeling somewhat disturbed and at a loose end at the moment.
Coming back all relaxed from your holiday, and then being jolted back into harsh reality by your grandson's accident is enough to upset anyone!
Try to be calm now....he is fine...you have seen him for yourself this afternoon.
You must feel better being able to give him a cuddle!
Hopefully, you will get a good night's sleep tonight...and maybe be able to visit your family again tomorrow?

Elle, great news about your husband's wallet! you must both be
relieved, even if he is feeling a bit sheepish...

What will happen now with the cancellation of your cards? Can they
reinstore them?

Hello, Elle!
Yes, you have had a good day!
I often find coins and whatnot in the vicinity of the drivers seat.
19, The cross is an offspring of a donkey and a horse.
A "mule".
It sounds like "mewl", well it does to me.
Mewl is not a word I have ever used, or heard used....but the setter knows it!
Yes, watch your Cold Feet.
It has been a fine evening here!
PS, "cross is short for crossbreed".

Hi, Rusty!
Yes, a very good day, indeed, in the end!
Especially as our elder daughter phoned about 9 o'clock, and said that she was coming down to stay with us for the weekend......arriving in the morning.
That will be good!
An unexpected treat!.......
I have never heard the word "mewl" - and I didn't come up with its homophone of "mule" either!
Thank you for explaining it to me!
I still haven't watched "Cold Feet" - it is a good job I recorded tit!
I think I need a strong coffee first.......

Hello, Pigale!
Good to hear from you. I hope all is well?
No, too late to stop the cancellation of the old cards...but the new ones will be with us by Wednesday!
What an upheaval!

A Very good morning to you, Rusty!
A lovely day today - very pleasant after yesterday's heavy rain.
I am just back from my walk.
I don' t know what time my daughter is planning to arrive......
I should think she might be here by lunchtime.
I shall have time for a quick tidy-up!
You are going out this morning with your granddaughter(s), aren't you?
Any other plans for the weekend?

Good morning, Elle!
Great weather here, too, but gales forecast!
I am going out tomorrow morning with Miss La Bamba.
Miss O is training at Dunfermline today and going to a concert in Aberdeen this night and staying over.
So, she has called off.
Pine Cone is my only plan.
One or two races at Newmarket appeal to me today, so I shall watch them.
Hope your daughter and family arrive safely!

Hi, Rusty!
Our beautiful day is becoming overcast now...although we are not supposed to have rain!
I hope my daughter does not get caught in a downpour whilst she is driving down.
She has texted that she expects to arrive about 4 pm.
She is coming alone though...having a weekend break from husband and the children!
I have answers for all the clues in today's Cryptic...but several (seven, I think) remain unparsed as yet...so, to my mind, it is not yet "completed"!
I shall mull them over!
Light may yet shine!
Now....Barclaycard has excelled itself!
Our new cards have arrived this morning!
How about that for good service?
The Pine Cone for tomorrow sounds good!
