No, no details! The lorry driver didn't stop....just hit them and drove off!
Luckily, my daughter took down his number and has duly reported it to the police
They say that if the incident is not reported within the next 24 hours , they will "investigate" the matter.
Meanwhile, the Insurance people are sending Green Flag to take the car to the nearest garage to her home for repair.
Her husband is coming down tonight to take her home!
The boys, of course, will stay here with us, as originally planned.
I am now going to feed two very hungry children!

Yes, all seems on the way to being under control!
We are just awaiting our son-in-law's arrival.
What a day for them!
There will be a courtesy car provided, but only after an assessment has been made on the damaged car.
I wonder how quickly that will happen?
I don't know about the battery for the other car.........
Let us hope that the rest of the week is less eventful!

Update, Rusty!
Daughter now on her way home....her husband replaced the car battery in their other car, and so was able to use it to drive down and collect her!
The boys are tucked up in bed!
All is well!

I have had a quiet evening.
My granddaughters were sending me photos of a music festival they attended yesterday.
Mind you, the first ones I got came from my friends in Belfast.
Something to do with FaceBook, I was told!

Yes, all is quiet now......
My daughter was only staying until tomorrow morning.....she has commitments at home over Tuesday and Wednesday.
She plans to come back here on Thursday .... courtesy car permitting, as her husband will need a car to get to work (no public transport)
Under the circumstances , it was more convenient for her to be picked up tonight!
Ah, I know that problem where information is passed first via Facebook...!
It seems that the knee-jerk reaction to anything is to put it immediately on Facebook?
It happens in our family too!
I think a strong coffee is needed.....

Yes, I see now about her transport difficulties.
Seems sensible to go home when she did.
Let us hope it is all sorted soon.
I am not a member of FaceBook, but I think some, or all, of the young ones, are.
I like Twitter though.
Great for keeping up with the News etc.
I am going to set my TV recorder tomorrow evening.
There is one of my all time favourites on Sky Arts channel tomorrow.

We have yet another lovely day here, but a tad chilly as yet.
Although I haven't been out for a walk yet this morning, as I am looking after the boys........getting breakfast etc.....
We shall all go for a walk together, with the dog, later on.

I received a text from my daughter about 11.30 pm to say that they had reached home safely - and fortunately uneventfully that time!

Well, I have printed out the crosswords that John sends me, but I doubt that I shall have time to do them!
Entertaining two young boys is very time- consuming!
However, I took a quick shiftie at 7d and 21a, as you had mentioned them.......
7d: He thought the streets of London were paved with gold, had a cat, and became Mayor!
but I couldn't do 21a?
How did Miss O's "first day of school" go yesterday?
Have you spoken to / texted her?
My daughter has just phoned....she seems to have recovered from the upset of yesterday.
She has a shift at "Samaritans" today........helping with the problems of others will probably bring her own (fortunately not serious ones, as it turned out ) into prospective.
We shall hopefully see her again on Thursday, if she has transport to return then.
Right, my presence is now required to play a game........
