Thanks Elle. You have been very helpful, as I had written on the page, "davis cup team" . I am now thinking I must have added this this some time later, probably in error. . I shall now start searching the British Hard Court Championships" instead and hopefully solve it.

Elle, you are a genius. I have just re-googled, using your latest info. and found this: (although Ulf seems to be missing, so it may have been a year later) will carry on searching.

But you are right, though, Jazzy, in that they WERE all in the Davis Cup team, as I googld e that to check.
I came up with a Mike DavIES tho, and couldn't find Colin Hannam.
I was just wondering if - as well as being in the Davis cup team - they played in the British Hard Court Championships, too?
I triedchecking but couldn't find any names other thantthose I gave you.
But you are much better with computers than am I, and so might be able to coax more info from yours!

Jazzgirl, that was nice, indeed.
I still can't remember it in the film though.
And it definitely was not in the book!

Elle, Val sang some fine stuff, alright!

Well done, World of Books!
You must have annoyed them, hence no voucher?
Were you impudent, at all?
I shall try the code next time I order.
No, Father Flanagan is still in transit.
Takes about 3 weeks from USA.
My book on Bobby Jones arrived.
I think that came from USA.

Any sign of the thunderstorm?

Rusty,
Who, me? I'm never impudent! I am sweetness and light to all mankind!
Seriously, though..... I have never had any direct contact with World of Books? all my dealings have been done through Amazon?
Have you taken part in any surveys? that is all I can think of?

No, no thunderstorm as yet- in fact, the sun is now shining and it's looking much brighter out........maybe the storm has passed us by?

How did you go with your granddaughters - any pending social engagements?

Well, Elle!
I decided to see when Father Flanagan was arriving.
He left Mishawaka, Indiana, on 28th Jun, and should get to me between 7th and 28th July.
I had never heard of Mishawaka and decided to look it up. Turns out it was the hometown of Charles Kuhl, which led me on to General Patton!
Funny how one thing leads to another...so it is!
