Hi, Rusty!
I managed to stay awake long enough to talk to my cousin!
She is soldiering on, but with a lot of pain in her hand where she had the operation.
I think it will take several weeks before the pain lessens and she can have the splint removed.
But hopefully the gain will be worth the pain!
The Koreans seem to be very good golfers? and a lot of them , at that.
Laura does get around....
I am amazed how she fits all this training and competing in with her veterinary studies.
Is Padova another name for Padua?
I seem to have heard of a St Antony of Padua?

Hello, Elle!
That is what I thought when I saw Padova.
I do not know, though.
It is either Padua or a Russian tennis player.
St Antony seems familiar.
I have heard of St Catherine of Siena, that's in Italy, too.
She had 24 brothers and sisters, apparently.
The South Korean women are great at golf.
Not at all sure why.
And there are no Korean men players that come to mind.
I hope young Miss Muir is paying attention to her studies, too!

A very good morning to you, Rusty!
We have the most beautiful day here - blue sky , bright sunshine, and a temperature in the early twenties already!
It was great out in the park.
But no tennis to watch..........I shall suffer withdrawal symptoms!
At least you still have Le Tour...and the golf?
I meant to ask you...any word yet on a potential car from your "sourcer"?

Good morning, Elle!
It is a lovely day here, too, as well!
No Tour today, it's a rest day before they head for the Alps.
Golf is finished.
Miss Sung Hyun Park won.
Another of the South Korean hotshots!.
She was praising the organisers for looking after her with Korean food etc.
She can not speak English.
The Open Golf starts on Thursday but Sky have started covering it already.
Practice rounds, interviews etc etc!
I am looking forward to it!
All quiet on the car front.

Hi, Rusty!
I am drinking coffee and eating an apple......
I've made a start on the 15 x15, but either I'm being dense this morning..... or the compiler and I are on different wavelengths!
Probably the former......
I might well give in and go and do a bit of gardening before it gets too hot.....
Have you done your puzzle - or are you saving it till teatime?
Both daughters and respective families are going on holiday this coming Saturday - albeit to different destinations!
We are in charge of the cat!

Hello Elle and Rusty!

Glad you had a great day Saturday, but I am not really surprised you
were so tired yesterday evening! Saturday had been a long day!
The children must have been exhausted -

Already 32C here with no breeze! This heat is supposed to increase
and stay with us until Wednesday afternoon, but then back to
thunderstorms! It seems to be the name of the game this year:
a few days of extreme heat followed by thunderstorm, and we
start all over again. Is it the same with you?

I've just had a look at the forecast for Le Tour' route tomorrow
and it seems that the riders are going to be very hot indeed:
32C-35C most of the way, Tireing, even if they are used to it.
Seems strange not to have to watch it today!

Hello, Elle!
I have finished my puzzle.
It is quite a good one.
Not too easy.
I see there is a prize winner from Nova Scotia this week.
Wonder how they get on with 'arry from 'ackney clues?
I do not know anyone who is "really" in charge of a cat!
They tend to be very independent creatures.
I am just off to Screwfix for a couple of things.

Hello, Pigale!
Nice day here and not too hot!
32° is very warm!
Not had a look at tomorrow's route yet.
I know they are heading for the Alps and nice scenery!
I wonder if Lassie will head off this week?
Won't be long now!

Hi, Rusty!
I am back indoors again - it is too hot to work in the garden!
So I have just been catching up with "The Voice Kids"!.........
I missed both the Semi-Final on Saturday - I was watching tennis - and the Final on Sunday - we were out at the ParaAthletics!
So far, I have watched the (recorded) Semi -Final and am blown away by the talent of these young children!
Such personalities , too!
They can all be very proud of themselves!
How did your trip to Screwfix go?
Did you get what you wanted?

Hello, Pigale!
Yes, it was a hectic day out on Saturday!
But the Parathletics were great......and the London Stadium very impressive!
The whole concept of The Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park was fantastic- I was just sorry that we didn't have more time to explore further.
I gather my dog also enjoyed her trip out - she went to the seaside!

Good evening, Rusty!
Well, what a surprising turn our quiet afternoon took!
We have had an unexpected visitor!
A friend has returned from overseas and arrived on our doorstep , bearing gifts!
We were somewhat gobsmacked as it was a "bolt from the blue"!
Delightful, though, to have her back in the country.
We had a great time catching up on all the news and looking at photographs of her travels!
I might get itchy feet!
