Good morning, Rusty!
Only hazy sunshine so far, here, and the threat of a few showers this morning.
I am hoping for dry weather, though, later this afternoon and evening, when we shall be at the London Stadium for the Parathletics.
I am looking forward to it!
My dog has gone to the seaside for the day!
Isn't she the lucky one?
The friends looking after her for the day (and tonight, because we shall not be home until after midnight ) have taken her and their own dog out for the day down to the Kent coast.
What are your (sporting) plans for today?

Good morning, Elle!
Bit wettish here!
Bolton Wanderers were in town last night playing a pre-season friendly game. They won 2-1.
Good game, apparently!
You have a big day ahead of you and I hope all goes well!
Is the stadium covered?
I have the Tour to watch, bits of golf, bits of tennis, the big race at Newmarket, then more golf.
I shall be worn out!
You willn't have time for your puzzles today?

Hi, Rusty!
My uncle was a keen supporter of Bolton Wanderers!
I have just discovered from daughter that we need to be in our seats 45 minutes before hand!
This has caused me to revise my travelling timetable!
I don' t think that the entire stadium is covered? nor do I know about our stand?
I have never been there previously and my daughter did all the organising and bought the tickets.
I shall tell you tomorrow!
I have the morning and early afternoon at home....I have started the crossword.........
You will be busy indeed if you intend to follow such a diversity of sports!!

Hello Elle and Rusty!

Not a bad day here, and Le Tour should enjoy a sunny 24C weather.

I hope you have a super day Elle - It will be an interesting
experience indeed! Make the most of it.

Hello, Elle!
I thought you may like to hear about the Wanderers!
Yes, a lot to keep up with for me.
Tour takes priority though, and the doings of Rachel Heck!
Why have you to be so early in your seat?
Good luck with your puzzle!

Hi, Rusty!
Goal posts moved yet again......another change of plan!
Our daughter has just suggested that we all meet up earlier than originally planned and entertain the children in the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park (where the London Stadium is situated) for a few hours before the start of the evening programme of events.
We can apparently also eat there...........
I hadn't even been aware that such facilities existed!
I really hadn't "done my homework"!
But it sounds like a good idea?
So I am away to get ready...and we shall be leaving in a little while.
I doubt we shall be home again until after midnight, so talk tomorrow......
Have a good day!

Hello, Pigale!
Thank you - we are looking forward to it!
We are all meeting up earlier now than originally planned!

Hi Rusty!

Did you enjoy the stage today? Not as good as yesterday's, though
probably more difficult than it first appeared.
You were right - Froome is already back in yellow - will he remain so
right the way to Paris? I have a feeling that he is not quite as strong
this year - which could explain Sky's tactics yesterday?

Shame about Voeckler, and even more so Thomas De Gendt! What an
effort!

I am looking forward to tomorrow's stage - Plateau d'Aubrac, another
one of my favourite areas in France - Spent holidays there two years
on the trot when a kid - lots of memories.
I probably would not recognise the village where we stayed though!

Hello, Pigale,
Not as exciting as yesterday, but good to see Voeckler having a go.
Would be good to see him win a stage!
Froome is looking good for the win, so far.
Even if he has another bad day, he has the time trial to get time back.
But who knows what may happen?
The Tour has lost a few good riders already.
