Hello, Elle,
Yes, sport has finished for the day.
Rest day in the Tour tomorrow, and no golf until later in the week.
I'll be glad of a break from it.
I've just done Sunday Times crossword online!
A bit easier than the daily Times I think.
I've read that The Voice gets good reviews.
You have chosen your programme well!
Hope your cousin is grand!

Hey, Rusty!
Yes, thank you...all well up north!
You might find a moment to watch some tennis at Wimbledon then tomorrow ......if there is no cycling or golf claiming your attention?
Jo Konta has a match on Court No One at 1pm.
And Roger, Rafa, Novak and Andy Murray are all playing at some point.
It should be a good day!
I need a coffee.....

Hello, Elle,
OK, i will watch Jo Konta's match.
The men's games go on a bit too long for me.
I may watch Federer for a while, too.
He is very talented I think.
Good all is well in the North (South to me!)
No birds in the nest, last time I looked.

Good morning, Rusty!
Bright blue skies and sunshine but a little fresher than yesterday as yet.
Just got home again......
I was out with the dog at 8 am - back to normal routine!
The dog appreciated it!
I have a few pressing household jobs to do this morning.......otherwise the day is my own (to watch the tennis!)
How are things your end?

Good morning, Elle!
All fine and dandy here.
Weather is a bit dull, though.
I took the scenic route for my paper.
Have the day to myself (as far as I know!) now!

Hi, Rusty!
All jobs now done and dusted!
I am ready to watch Jo's match on Court One at 1pm!
Roger is playing third on Centre Court.
Did your friends from Norn Iron arrive safely in Florida?
It is unpleasantly hot again here.......
When will this end?!

Hello, Elle!
Yes, they are in Orlando now.
They had to "wait in line" to collect their motor.
Apparently it is enormous!
The young ones enjoy it.
I have told them to beware of crocodiles!

Hi, Rusty!
That is good!
It sounds as though they are all set for a great holiday!
A lot of your relatives and friends seem to like Orlando!
Have you ever been there yourself?
I have only been to New York.... a brief visit when our eldest grandson was born there.
Well, Jo has done it!
She is through to the Quarter - Finals!
Well done her!
Did you watch?

Hello, Elle!
Orlando is too hot for my taste.
They tell me it is very good there, though.
The food is meant to be very good.
I watched a part of Jo's game.
Not it all.
I do not understand how the tie-break works.
She is going strongly, isn't she just!
Who awaits her?

Hi, Rusty!
Right...the tie-break......

A tie -break is played if the no of games in the set reaches 6-all.
The player due to serve the 13th game serves first, then the other player serves the next two points.
After the third point, the players take turns, serving two points each.
They change ends after the first 6 points have been played.
The first player to reach 7 points wins the tie-break.
But if the tie-break score reaches 6 all, then the winner is whoever gets two clear points ahead.

Is that making sense to you?
Jo plays Simona Halep in the Quarter- final
(Halep just put out Azarenka)
