Hello, Elle!
Yes, the Pine Cone has a fairly simple menu.
The girls had super toasties, today, and a bacon roll for me!
The girls and me usually sit out on the verandah at the Pine Cone.
There are super views out over the fields to the wilder hills to the North.
It really is a hidden gem of a place.
There is no passing trade, as it is well off the beaten track.
I did not see anyone buying a Christmas tree today!
I have dropped La Bamba and her pal in to town and that is my lot!
Yes, we are all different in what we like on BGT.
i am not so keen on singers.
I do like the "oddball" acts, I must admit.

Wow!
I have been watching BGT!
I was very impressed!
Only two "rubbish" acts - buzzed off by the judges.
The rest of the performers were very good indeed.
Have you watched it yet?
I don't want to say too much now, if you haven't seen it?
But..... a clue to my thinking ....I thought three acts especially were very good indeed...and one was exceptional in my book!
I shall be interested to know what you think?

I fast forward through the bits that do not appeal to me.

Yes, I thought you usually recorded BGT, and then watched it the following morning.......that is why I didn't go into details........
I had no choice but to watch it there and then, as I can only record one programme at a time and I was recording "Casualty" on BBC1.
I think this is the best overall BGT show I have ever watched in that I only dismissed two acts as "silly"!
I am looking forward to hearing your views!

I am looking forward to catching up with BGT tomorrow.
Like seeing old friends!
On YouTube I am watching Hugh P and Maria.
They are neighbours of my family in Donegal.
A father and daughter, they sing quite well.
"I Heard the Bluebirds Sing" is their best known one.
Have a look, they seem to have Donegal all to themselves!

I have just been watching your family's neighbours, Hugh P and Maria, singing "I heard the Bluebirds Sing"........a very pleasant blending of voices.
Donegal is so beautiful!
I loved the video for the views shown, too.
I haven't been out as yet....not beyond the garden.
A lazy start to the morning, doing the Everyman.........
Then we shall go out in the early afternoon for a long walk.

I have just watched BGT.
I did not think it was a great show.
A bit lacking, somehow, for me anyway.
I liked Jess the impressionist and was moved by the choir, but that was all.
The mind readers were clever, too.
I am staying home today.
I have the Amstel Gold to watch, and some of the racing from Fairyhouse (if I have a channel showing it!)
Elinor Barker has won at the Worlds.
A Rainbow Jersey for her.

I thought that Jess, the impressionist, was extremely good ; also the mind -readers.
How did they do that?
Do you think the judges were "in on it"?
There have been occasions before when we have thought this?
And the judges - plus Ant and Dec - were obviously in on the "Doga" act as they all had their dogs on stage!
( Apart from Alesha who , having no dog, appeared genuinely surprised and puzzled when she said "Oh look, that's Ant's dog....." )
The choir were heartrendingly sad..........but what a brave and positive act.
But the one that really grabbed me was the young girl, Sarah, at the end......
I thought she was incredible and well deserved the Gold Buzzer!
The Everyman was too easy this week ....no lingering parses to worry over!
I think more gardening is on the agenda today!

I do not know how the mind readers do it, but I know they do research beforehand, and the lad chose Amanda, nobody else.
So he would have done his homework on her, but how he knew what was in her 'phone.....goodness knows!
It is very clever, however they do it.
I thought that the dame with the dog was awful.
Very poor act.
The choir idea was brilliant!
And many a tear shed.
I hope they go far!
Now, here is where we shall disagree!
The last singer, Sarah, I thought was very poor.
Just wailing and screeching in my opinion.
Not melodic at all.
But everyone liked her, and that is what matters.
I do not think the eventual winner was on last night's show, though.

You are forgetting that the mind reader involved Simon in the act, as well - he had him choosing a house number, writing it down, then imaging himself going into a room , and had him write down what colour were the walls....... and so on.....
I still think that it was a "put up job"!
Yes, the "Doga" woman was frightful...but then again, I think that was all pre-planned ...down to the judges et al bringing in their dogs!
Just organised to raise a "laugh" from the audience?
That is interesting how much we disagree on the last performer!!!
I thought she was exceptionally good!
( Mind you, as I'm probably tone deaf, I' m perhaps not much of a judge!)
