Good evening, Rusty!
I have never gotten around to doing the crosswords!
I have been kept busy today, what with one thing and another.
My daughter phoned to tell me about her Mothers' Day outing yesterday.
She had a great time!
They went to a restaurant called The Giraffe World Kitchen, in the O2.
Have you heard of it?
I think it is part of a chain of restaurants that serves a variety of dishes from around the world.
It is seemingly well -known as a child -friendly environment, so obviously a popular venue with young families.
All enjoyed their day!
Chris - our mechanic friend - was round here earlier.
He has taken our car to service it and take it for its MOT.
He will return it tomorrow evening - so we are car-less tomorrow!
He is also going over to our daughter's to take look at her car, and decide what action will be best to take over her clutch.
So all go!
Only Lassie in the nest when I looked.......

Hello, Elle!
I have not heard of the Giraffe restaurant, but that is probably because I pay little heed to restaurants, unless they serve bacon rolls!
There surely won't be giraffe on the menu?
Your friend Chris seems the real deal!
Excellent service.
I think replacing a clutch is a fairly standard procedure.
Getting it to the workshop will be the problem?
Are you getting a good picture from the loch now?
Mine is much improved, whatever they did.
Now this is strange.
The spellchecker on my Chromebook does not like the word "loch", but it is quite happy with "lough"!
Odd!

Hey, Rusty!
I hadn't heard of "The Giraffe" either, but I have now discovered that there is one in Bromley!
Under our noses, so to speak!
And we didn't even know of it existence or whereabouts.
We shall have to investigate - we may even eat there one day!
I like trying out new places!
My picture from the loch is still partially obscured...but not all the time; it is a little better than it was .
I haven't seen Laddie today?
I have just finished watching tonight's episode of "Broadchurch" - the serial I am following on Monday nights.
The plot is very confusing...I have no idea who is guilty.......
And they say that members of the cast do not know either!
Intriguing.......

Hello, Elle!
Your post number is a palindrome?
My picture is not obscured in any way.
So, I am wondering what is wrong with your picture?
There was some buffering, I think it is called, in computerspeak, on my picture..
But all is fine now. Picture perfect.
Laddie would be perched on a nearby branch, or chasing intruders away, perhaps.
He would have been gainfully employed!

Good Morning rusty
I still haven't found enough time to watch the Mighty Shannon but hopefully today I will . Meanwhile, I have just signed a petition which Colin S-J has posted, to stop a new law which is proposed by the TD to allow the burning of vegetation and cutting of hedgerows in Ireland. We have lost enough wild habitats already and several species near to extinction. :(

Good morning, Rusty!
Another glorious day here and this time....wait for it....it is actually warm (er)!!
You would be able to go out in your shirt sleeves, I am sure!
Altho we Southerners (not that I am one "at heart") being more "nesh" will still be wearing our fleeces!
Well spotted that my last post number was a palindrome!
I hadn't noticed that!
I am home from the park a little earlier than usual this morning... a friend very kindly came to collect me (and the dog) and also he brought me home, as the car is with Chris today for its service and MOT.
Are you meeting up with Miss O today?
You mentioned possibly learning more on Tuesday about her future teaching plans?
It sounds as though it would be ideal if she were to take a post at one of the schools where she did her teacher training?

Good morning, Jazzgirl.
Well done, Colin and you!
I fully agree about wildlife habitat.
I think you will like The Mighty Shannon.
I am still mesmerised by the starlings!
I'll say no more lest I spoil it for you!

Good morning, Elle!
Oh no! Back to dreichness here!
Had an anorak on earlier!
I am not sure if there are such things as "numerical palindromes"?
Well, the plan was for Miss O to come and see me this afternoon, but I think she has a degree in "scattyheadedness", and could well forget all about it!
I hope not.
She has been at two high schools on placement and both would like her permanently.
She has another placement in May at one of those schools, too.
She likes them both, a lot.
So, we shall see.
Good luck with the MOT!

I am guessing the starlings will be in a "murmuration" which is an awesome spectacle. There are some happening every evening at Studland (just across the harbour from Poole)
I will have to watch T.M.S. this evening. as I am off out now until late afternoon. Have a good day all

Hi, Rusty!
Well, I'm sorry about your weather!
I guess that here we have been/ are being / unusually fortunate this Winter cum Spring.
It has been extremely cold, but we have had a lot of blue skies and sunshine (even if this last has been watery!)
I am concentrating (hard, as I'm finding it difficult!) on the Times 15 x15 right now....
As I didn't get chance to attempt any crossword at all yesterday, I decided today to prioritise, and do them first!
I am three-quarters way through....so not doing too badly......only one clue that I cannot parse so far.......
I shall say nothing more until I know you have finished your own puzzle!
