Hey, Rusty!
Where are you?
What are you up to?
I have tried checking on Laddie, but cannot access the nest?
There seems to be a technical problem?
I did, however, see a video of Laddie's arrival!
It was great to see him landing triumphantly on "their" nest!
He must be worrying about Lassie's whereabouts?
I have been having a lazy evening....playing catch -up watching the television, would you believe?
I like the "Call the Midwife" series, as I told you.....it has now finished, but I still have two recorded episodes to watch!
I'm trying to fit them in .........
It will be time shortly to speak to my cousin!

Good evening, Elle!
I am home in my house, is where am I!
i have been communicating by WhatsApp with a young family I know who are at Aviemore/Loch Morlich for a few days, and are having a great time!
They sent me some great pics of the wee ones!
I can get the nest OK, but no sound since Saturday.
Last week I could not get the webcam on Chrome for some reason, but switched to Puffin browser and it was fine.
Cherry has posted that superb photo of Laddie, on the Blog.
They say Laddie's arrival is the earliest they know about at the loch.
Last year he was a week after Lassie arriving.
That is quite normal.
I am following the website at Loch Garten, too, but no birds so far.
Yes, for goodness sake remember to 'phone your cousin!

Hi, Rusty!
It is good that you are in touch with your friends and looking at photos of their children.
My daughters, especially the younger one, send us photos of the "smalls" almost on a daily basis!
Even little videos of precious captured moments , taken on their phones!
We love to see the pics, even though we see some of the grandchildren nearly all the time!
That was a rather lovely "last" episode (for this series) of "Call the Midwife".
There were some nice human values portrayed.
It is a "nice" programme.
No cousin to talk to tonight after all........she has texted to say that she will be staying overnight with her daughter.
We shall catch up another day when she is back home.

Hello, Elle!
Smart 'phones have their uses!
Most have very good cameras in them.
I have at least a thousand photos in my 'phone and saved in the "cloud"!
"Call the Midwife" sounds a good programme?
I intend recording a prog on Sky Arts channel tomorrow.
"Andre Rieu Live in Dublin"
Should be good, I think.
Dancing in the aisles etc!

Hi, Rusty!
That would be waltzing in the aisles, would it not?
Didn't Andre Rieu create the Johann Strauss orchestra?
We once went to a huge concert held at Wembley, playing Strauss waltzes.
It was fantastic!
I have more or less "caught up" now, with the programmes that I had recorded.
I make an effort to record something if it catches my eye, but do not always have the time to watch, and may end up just deleting!
But I have done well tonight!

Hello, Elle!
I do not know what kind of dancing they will be doing.
I know that one of the Dubliners, John Sheehan, is taking part, and playing his own composition, The Marino Waltz, so you could be right about the waltzing¡
Marino is a Northside suburb of Dublin.
I have quite a few progs recorded but not sure if I'll get round to seeing them all.
It's hard work!

Poor Laddie, it's a long wait. Is it known if Lassie is alive?

Hi Rosalind,

I don't think Lassie or Laddie are tagged - their off-springs are, and so are those born the previous year I believe;
So there is no way of knowing -
but there again, LA

A Very Good morning to you, Rusty!
A drizzly and breezy start to the day.
We may have heavier rain later.
Summer has definitely gone away again!
How about at your end?
Did you look in on the horse when you went out for your paper?
No sign of Laddie in the nest.........
Do you know if Lassie and Laddie "wintered" together?
Is that what osprey "couples" do?
I have a "free" day today....but the week will get busier as it progresses.
Now for my apple and a coffee....and a look at the crosswords.......

Hello Ros!
I don't know much about the habits of ospreys!
It has just occurred to me to wonder whether Lassie and Laddie spent the winter months together?
You haven't mentioned your Book Club for a while....how is it going?
Any worthwhile recommendations you can offer us?

Hi Rosalind,

So there is no way of knowing -
but there again, Lassie had to wait a week for her mate last year,
