That's good you attended the funeral etc.
I got a lovely bunch of roses (I think!) for the cemetery.
I am just home from ASDA.
I was being interrogated as to why I was there in the afternoon!
Not looked at the crossword yet.

I've just finished watching "Rivers with Griff Rhys Jones" featuring the Tay, its local people, floods, fishing, wild swimming, glorious scenery and more. Worth watching on iplayer :)

I finished the crosswords.
They seemed much easier then usual today?
I learned that "kill" means "ice" - now that I didn't know!
A lot of the daffodils are out in the garden!
It does look pretty.
I forgot to ask....how is your car behaving now, on starting up first thing?

My car seems fine, so far.
Nothing untoward was found.
Crossword was quite good.
I do not understand "American" in 24a, though?
"Old -time", yes, but why "American"?
The Asda girls are great with me.
I sing their praises and rightly so.
Some days they are the only folk to speak to me.
"Kill/ice" is often in crosswords.

Rusty, I think the 'American' in 24 A just refers to the spelling - it'd be 'aeo' in the middle for English English!

I'd thought you were advised to drive the car a bit more, to see if that made any difference to its starting?
I was just wondering if it did?
24a: "old-time" is the definition.
"paleolithic" is the 'American' spelling of the word......
We would spell it " palaeolithic", with a second "a".
