Good morning, Rusty!
A wet and cold morning here!
We have just about everything!
It is foggy with slight snow and rain showers! - and icy cold!
I am home now and not likely to go out again till the afternoon dog walk!
I think I shall take a look at the crossword, whilst I am drinking a piping hot Americano coffee to warm me up!
What is your weather like?
I read this morning that parts of Scotland can expect a temperature of -10C!

Good morning, Elle!
Woke up to snow and it has been on and off since.
Just have about an inch lying.
It is a lovely day apart from snow!
We had an alert in the local paper warning us that the temperature could drop to minus 10 in the next few days.
Hope not.
Several years ago we had a cold spell of minus 12 that I remember.
Buildings etc were damaged, buses off etc.
Lasted for weeks.
Not nice, at all!
I did not do crossword yesterday. Too busy.
Just watching the skiing today.
Watched the "Jonathan and Tina" show earlier.
He has learned a lot about the skiing.
I am impressed!

Hi, Rusty!
It is still grey, wet, and somewhat foggy here!
And so, soooo..... cold!
I had to pop down to the High Street earlier ( to buy a Sympathy card) - having sworn I wasn't going out again this morning! - but I am definitely not going outdoors any more today!!!!!!
I hope for your sake that your local temperature does not drop too low!
Now ....EuroSport Player.......
I have had an email arrive, telling me it is the first of three to come, that will show me how to get the best out of the Euro Player.....
I find this an impressive service , don't you?
I am looking forward to following all the stages it sets out and "learning" more about how to "use" the EP!
I shall have fun after lunch!
Btw, I think the Birmingham Athletics Indoor Championships are on February 18th?
Go to it, Laura!

Hello, Elle!
I am lucky. Beautiful day here...and snow!
Yes, you appear to have struck lucky with Eurosport!
Well done!
I am intrigued by the "learning emails"?
Yes, Feb 18th is Laura's next big day.
Bad news from the slopes today.
Lara Gut had a fall in training and has been helicoptered to hospital.
I imagine she will miss Sunday's downhill, for which she was favourite.
Had a good outcome with BT. They are giving me Infinity 1 discounted by £16.50 per month.
Very pleased!

Hi, Rusty!
The EuroSports Player email is just an instruction on what is on offer and how to use it.
Disappointingly, it really does not tell me any more than I have so far discovered for myself!
It would have been of more use to me had it come on the same day as I received access to the EP!
It takes me on a tour and tells me a few facts.
But I've already been there and done that!
It does inform that I can catch up on missed programmes by searching the video section.......
Now I previously had tried that, but so far have never found what I was researching!
But I apparently have two more emails to come?
So maybe I will find out where I am going wrong there?
Anyway, that is a minor hiccough!
I am sorry about Lara Gut - you must be disappointed!
Well done on your negotiations with BT - it sounds like a good deal you have made with them!
Trying to snow now.......

Hello, Elle!
You would think Eurosport would have sent the emails when they activated the player?
It is good you have explored it anyway.
Best way to learn.
Lots of our snow has vanished!
Lara was favourite to win the downhill.
Reports are saying she has ruptured a knee ligament.
Pity. And we will miss the big smile!
Learned earlier that she is fluent in five languages!
Think I shall support Tina Weirather in the downhill, now.
BT were very good with me.
A nice young man who was very good to deal with.
My new service starts on Feb 21.
My next target is the AA.
i am paying a lot more than one or two I know for the same service.
I'll leave them until next week, though.

Hi, Rusty!
I have been browsing through my new TV guide .
I see that the second and third (last) day of the Nitro Athletics are being shown on BBC on Saturday and Sunday.
We do not appear to be allocated much time for viewing this.... forty-five minutes on Saturday, and an hour on Sunday!
I have looked on the EuroSports Player though, and cannot see it advertised there?
Not that the first day was all that good........but better I guess than nothing.....?
Still, there are quite a few Athletics events coming up shortly, to which I shall look forward!
I have been out in the garden playing with the dog....
I swear it is becoming even colder........
No snow though....the feeble attempt earlier died away.
Did you venture out for a walk?
( I didn't!)

Hello, Elle,
I think up here we are only getting one showing of Nitro.
Think they are showing a football game instead.
Though I could get it on one of the non-Scottish BBC channels if I wanted.
Eurosport seem to be showing Winter sports (understandably!) mainly.
I have not been out.
There is a mixture of snow and sleet falling, and it looks cold!
I am home for the day now.
My grandson is coming to see me tomorrow.
I am looking forward to that.

Hi, Rusty!
That will be nice to have your grandson visit.
Is he coming in the morning?
You will have an excuse to eat cake!
Our other neighbour - the one who is (temporarily) staying with his daughter whilst recuperating from his seizure, is experimentally coming to spend some time in his own home tomorrow.
He is insisting that this is what he wants to do - he will watch the rugby match there , so he says.
But I am to be allowed to go in and "visit" him, apparently!
I shall have to plan my day accordingly!
Actually, he is making a very good recovery - we are all very pleased and relieved.
It is nice to have some good news!
Well, I had better see about dinner.......we are having Chinese.
Have you had yours yet?

Hello, Elle!
I am looking forward to my grandson visiting.
He is my financial adviser, too.
We have things to discuss!
He is coming in the morning after he gets a haircut.
Hope your neighbour is on the mend!
I would keep your visit very brief.
I had a sausage casserole for tea.
Ideal in this cold weather!
How are you and the Europlayer getting on?
