Good morning , Rusty!
It was a tad "misty" when I went out with the dog at 8 am, but is absolutely glorious now!
Blue skies, sunshine, the last vestige of fog has gone, and the frost is fast melting.
And not as cold today! 4C maximum expected.
What is it like with you?
Have you been out for your paper yet?
I am in now until mid afternoon, when we are going to visit our granddaughter, taking her birthday present.
She is now 7. Where do the years go?
Are you watching the skiing?
Is it on now?

Good morning, Elle.
It is overcast here.
Supposed to be 7/8 degrees but it feels colder to me.
I caught a bit of the men skiing but have been taking an interest in the Supreme Court decision regarding Article 50.
The women's giant slalom is live just after 11 o'clock.
Roger F is going along nicely in the tennis.
There are still a lot of cancelled flights at Heathrow due to fog?
You will have a nice time visiting your granddaughter!
Hope there is no smog on your journey!

Hi, Rusty!
It is as clear as a bell here!
A lovely day!
Hard to believe that flights are cancelled due to fog in other parts of London!
Yes, I too have been reading /listening to the BBC reports on the Brexit issue over Article 50.
This will obviously continue to be today's main topic of interest!
I have set the recorder to watch my ( brief) viewing of the tennis, as we shall be out visiting at the time.
I suppose it is too much to hope that I might get to see Roger play?
There is no tennis on the Red Button...but there was Bowls yesterday!
I didn't wish to watch it, but I am very happy to report that my Red Button is alive and well!
I have just seen the time... I don't know where this morning has gone.....I expect you are watching the Giant Slalom by now....?

Hello, Elle!
You are lucky with the weather!
It does not seem to take much to put Heathrow on the back foot.
I have Venus Williams v Pavlyuchenkova on.
Nice change from Article 50!
Pleased to see Venus is not wearing blue like most of the other girls!
White top and multi coloured skirt!
I think Coco is on next.
I missed the slalom.
My morning has flew in, too.
I usually read my local paper first, but not opened it yet.

Hi, Rusty!
We are indeed having a lovely day!
Apart from the temperature, we could be in the middle of Summer!
I have had a "wasteful", but thoroughly enjoyable, leisurely morning!
I have done the Times QC and a half of the 15 x15 - seems easier today? - but mostly have been reading my new book.
It is the last (ever) episode of The Clifton Chronicles by Jeffrey Archer.
"This Was A Man".
I got it for Christmas.
I am wondering how it will all end......
Now, I am just about to take the dog out for a walk, and then we are going straight over to see our granddaughter for 4 o'clock after school.
Catch you later!

Good evening, Elle!
How did the birthday tea go?
No smog?
Times xword was fine today.
Couple of new words and meanings for me.
"Gib" for a cat, I had not heard of before.
Always learning!
That's the way i like it!
Did you see any tennis?
I won't say any results, but I was cheering for Coco!

Hi, Rusty!
We are home again!
Yes, the birthday visit went well.
Our granddaughter is delighted with her new clothes.
And her baby brother is coming along really well.
I had never heard of a gib -cat, either! Seemingly, it means a castrated tom.
I have had cats as pets for many, many years without knowing that!
No, I have yet to see any television today..........
I have "Egghead" and the tennis still to watch.
I wonder will I be watching Coco?
I shall go and find out!

Hello, Elle!
That's good you had a nice time at your granddaughter's!
You never mentioned "filthy air" so all must be well
I downloaded a PDF of the written evidence submitted by Nicole Cooke to Parliament Enquiry into British Cycling shenanigans.
She slaughtered them.
It is "run by men, for men", was one of her quotes.
Women are ignored.
She is an Olympic and World Champion, and often could not get the BC mechanics to repair her bike.
She is "extremely sceptical" of Brailsford, Wiggins, Sutton etc.
She mentioned the doping culture in Team Linda McCartney which UKADA has been investigating for FOUR years.
Interesting stuff from Nicole!
Did you see Coco?

Hi, Rusty!
We have just been having dinner........
No, there has been no sign of fog, after an initial hazy start this morning.
All the frost from earlier melted, but strangely nowhere has dried up ........all the pavements and roads have remained wet.......I fear we shall have a big freeze tonight.....and everywhere underfoot will be very treacherous tomorrow.
I shall step out in the morning with trepidation!
Well done Nicole Cooke!
Hopefully, she has blazed the trail for others to follow suit, and speak out against all the injustices that have been taking place within British Cycling.
No Coco Vandeweghe ......but forty - five minutes of Roger F!
Even better!
I couldn't have asked for more!
And I still have "Eggheads " to watch!

Hello, Elle!
8 degrees here!
Warm!
Yes, Nicole has done well, by speaking out.
She was ably backed up by Emma Pooley.
Those two paid their own way to championships in Australia.
British Cycling is funded by the public purse.
Do they tell the public that most of the money goes to the men, to the detriment of the women riders?
All the hoo-ha about getting a British winner of the Tour de France.
Nicole had won two ladies Tours de France when Brailsford made that statement.
But she was ignored.
Anyway, Jo Konta is due on court around 2.00 a.m.
I will not see it but I am sure she will acquit herself well.
Fingers crossed for her!
