My son was here earlier and repaired my Dimplex fire.
He sent off for a LED driver and it came today and he fitted it, and my fire is back to normal.
I am pleased!

I was staying in Dunstable when I was at Harpenden.
Must be in that vicinity.
I was at Tring And Leighton Buzzard and a few other places around that area at the time. And Watford.

Dunstable is in Bedfordshire; Tring and Watford in Hertfordshire.
No idea about Leighton Buzzard as I've never heard of it!
Remember Geography is not exactly my strong point!
I'm guessing the two counties are next to each other?
How long did you live around that area?
How disappointing that there are only five letters in "Trent"!
It appears I cannot count, either!
(So much for having "A" level Maths!)
A pity as I thought it a good answer?

I knew where Dunstable was, and that Watford was on the road to London, but that is all. The other places were just names, really.
I was in Dunstable when the police were hunting for Harry Roberts.
I remember that well.
"A" level Maths sounds quite good, is it?
But are there any boys called Trent, anyway?

No, "A" level Maths isn't really much....
In England, Wales and Northern Ireland, we used to take GCEs (General Certificates of Education) at "0" (Ordinary) level at age 16; and "A" (Advanced) level at 18.
I think our "A" levels are equal to Scottish "Highers"?
Or it may be that AS-levels equate with Highers and A-levels with Advanced Highers?
Not sure about this?
