Hello, Elle!
Check your bank balance tomorrow to see if it worked or not?
I remember the site being straightforward and I am not the brightest.
Hopefully you should be able to see or add your message.
See if there is a "Help" section there, to guide you through it.

Hi, Rusty!
Yes, it has always been straightforward in the past.
The puzzling thing is that I have now received an email from Just Giving , thanking me for my donation - yet still there is no message showing on the website?
I guess at least it looks as though the PDSA will get the donation....but maybe David won't get the goodwill message!
Ah well...I can check, as you say, to make sure the money has gone through...and I can tell him by word of mouth that we have supported his venture!
No big deal, I suppose .......but it's been very time- consuming and frustrating!

Hello, Elle!
Is there no "Help" facility on the site, or email, to assist with your message?
If you have an email from Just Giving, your donation will have been processed, I'd imagine?
You could also make another small donation (Go on! It's Christmas!) and this time make sure your message is posted before you press "submit" or whatever?

Update, Elle!
You can "edit", "update" your message at any time.
You will need "donation reference number" which will be on your received email from JustGiving.
Just go back to the site and follow instructions to "edit" message and it should be easy enough, hopefully!

Hi, Rusty!
Oh dear! Been there , attempted to do that !
I pasted in donation reference number and am told it is "incorrect"!
Impasse!
The PDSA have thanked me nicely for my donation though.
I think I probably need to talk to David.
So long as the PDSA has the money, and he knows that we have supported him, I guess all is well?
A pain though!
Now....I have just read on the News that there has been a terrorist attack on a Berlin Christmas market.
Nine people killed.
My daughter was at that self- same market only last week, on her work trip to Berlin!
A scary thought, isn't it?

Hello, Elle!
Yes, a very scary thought indeed!
Some awful things going on in the world!
Elle, check your bank balance to ensure only the right amount has left your bank.
Something odd has happened if it does not recognise your reference number.
There is no confusion between the letter "O" and the number zero "0"?
Can you phone them and ask why it does not know the number that they gave you?
This is a Free number 0345 078 2063, or email their "helpline"?

Good morning, Rusty!
A lovely day here - bright and clear - and cold!
Great to be out!
Now the latest update.......
The message to David has at last appeared on the "Just Giving" website this morning!
My donation reference number though is still unrecognised,
I have phoned the number that you kindly found for me, but it is all recorded with no relevant options - all geared to Charity organisers.
No "human" to be found!
So I have emailed "Just Giving" to apprise them of the situation.
David meanwhile now knows and is also looking into the matter himself.
Seemingly, I am not the first person to tell him of problems with the site so he is going to speak to management this morning.
Whew!
Coffee needed!
Anyway, how are you?
What are you up to today?

Good morning, Elle!
You are on the ball today!
Well done on the progress with JustGiving!
You have earned your coffee!
It is an excellent idea for David to get on to them.
It is his account/charity that could suffer if folk get irked because they have problems donating, and walk away.
Nobody wants that!
Be an idea to check your bank balance or PayPal account to satisfy yourself that all is in order?
That is what I would do, but I am a "belt and braces" man!
It is a frosty start to the day here.
A bit colder than of late.
I have done my ASDA trip and no further plans.
I have an eye on the sky in case of bad weather arriving sooner than forecast.

Hi, Rusty!
I swear it is getting colder by the minute here!
I just popped out into the garden and it is freezing!
Much colder than at 8am!
I am drinking hot soup to warm me up!
I paid the donation by Barclaycard, so should be okay.
I am with "Barclaycard Secure" and my card is password protected.
I do agree with you about being ultra careful.
Right....I have done some household chores, finished the Times QC (easy today).
And am now going to wrap seven more presents.....................!

Hello, Elle!
That's fine that your account is safe!
The sky is as black as my boot here.
Heading out for a walk and hoping the sky does not fall!
Not looked at the crossword yet!
