I apologise for leaving you all in suspense about 6 legs and a handbag. Rusty has it.

Good afternoon, Rusty!
Oh dear! Dreich here again!
Our sunshine was very limited.
Yes, there is a short piece about Dave Brailsford in the Times.
You will most probably have read it by now?
It is hardly very satisfactory.......he waffles on about how he mismanaged events and made matters much worse by issuing misinformation.
Also he refuses to explain what was actually in the mysterious medical package he purported to be for Emma Pooley.
I cannot see why this should remain a secret?
All very strange........
It is a good job you mentioned the Olympics Parade.... ...I had forgotten all about it!
I shall set the recorder in case I am not back in time from my walk (planning to out in another hour)
I hadn't realised that Jason Kenny comes from my home town of Bolton!

Hello, Elle!
And Brailsford said he should have got a FIFTH doctor involved in giving the banned drug to Wiggins.
You would think four doctors would be ample for Team Sky?
Why do they need so many doctors?
And an apology to Emma Pooley is way overdue.
Can't Brailsford/Team Sky apologise?
She has been dragged into something that has nothing whatsoever to do with her.
She was racing in Spain, and for very little money compared to the fortunes that Team Sky throw at everything.
Minding her own business, so she was.
But, one thing about Emma, she is more than capable of speaking up for herself.
I would like to see Froome and Thomas leave Team Sky.
Yes, Jason is a Bolton lad, and a very nice young man.
Trotty has landed a good one there!

Hi, Rusty!
We are back home again...... we timed the walk nicely.... hit blue skies and sunshine!
I expect you are now watching the Olympic Parade?
I have set the recorder for the Highlights.......I didn't think I would be back in time to watch the entire procedure.
And I have an unusually busy night with televiewing........Eggheads.....
and then Monday is "Cold Feet" night!
I shall miss it when the series ends...next week, I think?
Speaking of British Cycling.......what happened about your man Shane whatisname?
Wasn't there to be an investigation?

Hello, Elle,
I am just home from the cobbler, too.
Recording Parade.
Do you realise you have one in London, tomorrow?
Shane Whatsisname (Sutton) is apparently being investigated, but goodness knows how that will go.
What with Brailsford being gold medal class at being economical with the truth etc.
I have no idea who is investigating, or will the investigators be presented with a desired outcome by British Cycling at the start, and work backwards from there. It will be a cover up.
On a brighter note the European Track Championships take place this week in France, but it is mainly young ones from the development squad taking part.

Hi, Rusty!
No, I had no idea that there is to be another athletes celebration here in London tomorrow?
I knew about the one in Manchester today - culminating in Albert Square - because I saw in it my TV guide.
I cannot find anything about the London celebration in my guide?
It doesn't appear to be being televised?
Not that I can find anyway.
I have Googled it and it seems that the festivities will be held in Trafalgar Square, but there doesn't seem to be any publicity?
Very strange?

Good evening, Elle!
This is a mystery, for I was convinced it was on TV and they were going to visit the Queen after their parade!
I did think it odd that there were two parades.
One in Manchester and a London one.
I must have seen it advertised somewhere?
Or I may just be going loopy.

Hi, Rusty!
On Google, it DOES say that there are TWO parades!
One in Manchester today, and the second in Trafalgar Square in London tomorrow!
It even mentions everyone involved travelling down here after the Manchester celebrations finish.
But it certainly isn't showing in my TV guide!
Can you find any record of it in yours?
One would expect that it would be televised?

Hello, Elle!
i have looked through all the available BBC Channels.
My home channel is BBC Scotland, but I also get BBC London etc through Sky.
No parade on any of them.
I thought I saw something over the weekend saying the London celebration was on TV. But no.
Trotty and Jason are on honeymoon and won't be there.

Hi, Rusty!
This is what is says on Google
http://www.express.co.uk/sport/olympics/703015/Rio-2016-when-is-Olympic-parade-Team-GB-UK-date-Manchester-London-event-celebration
All very odd that we can find no further trace of this..............
I guess we shall just have to wait and see if there is anything on the News tomorrow?
At least you can be reassured that it wasn't just a figment of your imagination!!!
Any feedback from your family?
Did Miss L-B enjoy her birthday bash?
