Well, I set a tricky word so I shouldn't be surprised at the ingenuity used in your clues.

I've managed to work out the particularly devious entries from aristo@12, mattrom @13 and les40@14 and all the others except for...

rambler@16 - can parse parts but not all
jws@11 - completely stumped
therogue@17 - completely stumped

Parsing appreciated from the entrants or anyone else who has worked them out...
