Gross apologies paulm. I'm much surprised to find nerveless can be both bold, brave etc and its own antonym. See below from the online thesaurus.

..........I suppose that it's "lacking nerve" rather than "lacking nerves".

Makes sense when you put it that way but certainly not what first cones to mind, well mine anyway.
