It is definitely taleae otherwise the unclued anagram that crosses it doesn't work

I found the top right hard going, the anagram at 6d particularly tough! Anyway all done except one, so help required to finish -12d.

Thanks. I thought not timely, as that means on time rather than early. But I've never heard of TIM, so that makes sense, if its an accepted acronym.

I found TIM in Chambers, I'd never heard of it or seen it before.
