If you have any actual answers for any of the unclued study their letters.
Look at the title - think of a very famous example which might connect to the "lettering pattern" in any of you unclued answers.

Look very closely at any of the unclued answers you have- I spotted the theme when I wrote them on a piece of paper!

........ and yes 30d is a strange one - but it does have the letter pattern in it , and I did find it in Chambers - I hadn't heard of it before!

Got most of it but struggling with parsing of 2d for which I have O?UL?R. Frustrating when you can't fit the last piece of the jigsaw in.

Your letters are correct. You need a 7 letter word for 'funny' and then get rid of the first letter ('drowning Jack' will show what it is).

Your 'a' is wrong. Re the theme - you have the thematic part in the letters you have.
