Hello. This one is rather difficult going. I have completed almost all of it, but am struggling to resolve the actual word for d, although I think I have the correct 6 letters for it. I also cannot work out 14.
Any help that is offered on these two would be brilliant.

simonsays - you need to find anagrams of Tabitha and Madison. That provides the definition. (The anagram of Madison is a less conventional spelling of a familiar word.) There is a clash in the third cell from the outside.

I knew about the anagraming, but failed to realize that Madison was also one. Thank you very much. Only B and D to understand now and will be finished.

It took me a while, but I didn't find the clues here too difficult.

I presume that the 40 cells are the outer ring (and that the repeated 'IDEST' is the 'ie' of the character's name?

Demeter - I assume the highlighting is in pink.

I'd say it would be pretty harsh if the colour of the highlighting mattered... but if so, drat.

Jim - the character is Pink-i.e. So I think the colour is important. It doesn't worry me as I don't send in an answer.
I'm stuck on clue D if anyone can help. Thanks.

D is 4 single letters inside a 3 letter word for strange.

Thanks everyone - finally finished. I hope we get more like this in future. By the way, I assume that the 4 spare letters in the ring with the 16 clashes don't have any special significance?
