As most of the quiz has been laid bare 2 months still to run, I might as well say....


18 Only one answer works in conventional clue solving, the other uses the last word as wordplay and definition,which doesn't work.

This is the only one I don't have and am still struggling despite the clues. Willing to give help with other answers for more assistance

Up with my trusty thesaurus at 7.30 this morning and solved the clue but thanks for the help. Any assistance needed with other clues?

Yes I now agree that Monty's answer is the correct one for no.7. That's me done, I think but not sending it in yet as could change my mind on others but that of course could be fatal!!

Lady Bee...... I was in bed by that time and set to this morning before turning the computer on. Rather an unpleasant riposte!

Has anyone got a better answer for the cycle event other than time trial?
