Thanks to Jazzgirl for letting me know about this problem. I immediately contacted Ash and he got onto the Advert people straightaway. He now tells me the issue has been sorted and everything should be back to normal.

The adverts are an unfortunate fact of life, without them there would be no Forum. However they should not be so intrusive as to make the Forum unusable.

Thank you to Norah, Ash and the team for sorting the problem so quickly. This is very much appreciated. It is fair to say that other forums have also had similar problems with adverts, logging-in problems and freezing computer screens. Thankfully our admin. team is always quick to respond

Thanks Norah, Ash, Jazzy and everyone who helped with this. There is no way I could have reported it at one time because it was impossible to log on. It is also true that it is self defeating from the advertiser's point of view, because you can't stay on long enough to see anything.

Thanks to everyone for the help.I thought it was just my pc,I took my annoyance out on some bushes that needed pruning but they now resemble Bonsai trees,the dogs enjoyed dragging branches about though

No, not since I put on Active X and Adbloc - I no longer get ANY adverts!
