Just reading the threads and noticed this.
The 'News Review' section appearing in the weekend papers is exactly that, a review of the (what the ed considers) a collection of the week's most interesting news. If I don't get a weekday paper, I always have a quick scan in the weekend paper's 'News Review' section to catch up on the week's headlines.
So it's very common that a news item read on a midweek day will pop up in the weekend's edition of 'The News Review'
I don't really buy midweek papers now because I don't get time to read them, so the News Review is a great catch-up section at the weekend.
