Sorry Rosie, went out soon after my last posting - hope you are sorted now with malone's help. Quite a tricky puzzle today I thought.

It was a much trickier puzzle than of late.

I thought I had finished but still need 24a
Run with revolutionary sign (7) ?r?e?ie

one of the 5 specials:
T ROEL IE - (tie being the shoe)
r = run leo reversed is the sign
defn is palm at 42a

I found this trickier than usual. I've finished but still have one clue question-marked: 28A Collapse that is stopped by mobile police force (7). I do have the answer, and"that is" on the outside is clear, but I'm not sure about the innards. Braced for embarrassment.

m plod = mobile police force ? (plod - slang for police)

Phew! That was harder than this month's Genius. Glad I persevered, although I did make use of the help on here.
