I still haven't finished this week's jumbo ...... Not really surprising as a very rejuvenated husband has just had a pacemaker fitted. What a difference! I wish he'd had it years ago. Heart beat went from 23 to 61 as soon as it was switched on!

18A expression of surprise at an unexpected but welcome event (7,4,4,5)

Hello redcoral
sorry for the delay. I have slower- than- snail broadband, until it is updated next week, so just popping in at coffee time and teatime. So pleased that Johnny has something that will make his life much easier. Hope it continues to go well.

We were JUSTabout to go down to Devon for a week when he suddenly became extremely dizzy. We spoke to the doctor on the phone & he said he was coming over to us . When he checked Johnny's heart rate he sent him straight to hospital. We were in A& E but they took him to the CCU ward & he had the pacemaker put in & home the next day with instructions to rest for a week & NOT lift his left arm at all. He looks a different man!!
I still haven't got 18A ???!

Mamya gave you an answer in post 2.
Johnny was very lucky that he was treated so quickly. What a relief that must have been.
