Thanks Paul for deciding in my favour on this inaugural weekend peer, not too much pressure I hope.
Cheers Ginge Jws and Oblib for your votes.
Hopefully a few more regulars and any newcomers (you will be welcomed) jpin in. The more the merrier.

Ginge thanks for sorting the link

oops, I have acquired a European (unlike some!), a drug, or a direction (now, that would be good, having all but finished the book)

Well done FJ, just loved the word Paul -so many meanings and possibilities- and thanks for the vote, Marty

Maybe next time a bit of encouragement could be added to the title? Would parsing entries help or hinder tenderfeet?

Rosaliind I think that's a good idea to try and attract new paticipants.
How about "The Quicksolve Open (pro-am)" where regulars completely parse their clue to allow tenderfeet to see what we're doing ( we don't always get it right). I am personally guilty of not taking enough time to smooth the read.
Newcomers would not need to parse and a winner could be chosen by setter.
Any further thoughts on this matter..............

First of all congratulations to fieryjack on winning the inaugural weekend pr , and thank you for the vote .

Cheers paul for starting this .

I agree that including a parse could attract more entrants and that can only be a good thing . It would also give the weekend version a different "feel" from the mid-week contest .
