Hi
I've never been so hot as when in Death Valley. You must have been baking in your broken down Greyhound before you all took shelter.
Seems a long way away in this rain!

hi Rosalind
The temperature seems pretty hot on the forum at the moment ! (btw I was not one of the complainants )
Back to Furnace Creek it was 120f according to my diary . The coach had air-con which kinda worked :). We were larking around taking photos dressed as cowhands sitting on rocks and all the mad things that tourists get up to. I think the highest recorded temp. was 134f about a century ago.
Keep cool.........

Hi jazzgirl

I've missed you recently but the temperatures you quote tells me you are certainly not in Dorset now!!!

No prolonged dry weather in the foreseeable future here. I got the grass cut the day after I came back from holiday, but it badly needs doing again already.

I believe you said you lived "up North" so the rain must be very widespread today

Thank you for your continual generous help chrise.

You are very welcome, redcoral.

Yes - up in the Pennines, near the Aire Gap.

We stayed with a friend in Cologne, elle. It was warm and sunny - though not at the same time!
