I keep thinking NOM but have no idea why!!!

Thanks for xavier I went for nom, having the n and the m but like you am puzzled as to why

20 could be Non Com (non commissioned officer) which also has NCO (also Non commissioned officer inside) so removing NCO from No nco m - leaves Nom - short for Nom de plume - writers name
